I am using Firefox 21 and the widgets appear in the sidebar exactly where they ought to be.

Below is a troubleshooting drill. Please go through it and report your step by step results.

If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.

Note: If you are using an IE9 browser in compatibility mode that makes it render as IE7 and IE7 is not supported. To disable see > http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1196-internet-explorer-compatibility-view-turn-off.html

If you are running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com please do these four things:

1. Try clearing your browser’s cache: http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050

2. Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled: http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/

3. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

4. Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

If it’s still happening, let us know exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using by checking here if necessary http://www.whatbrowser.org/ and also post any error reports you get.

Help! I tried doing the settings to correct the XHTML automatically but my widgets still appear on the bottom

I don't know what happened. I think I used a "bad" html code and now I cannot undo it, or access my blog. The widget page won't load to undo what I did.. I don't know how to fix this.. Helppppp

No. You can, however, hotlink images from Instagram and post them on a page or in a post.

If you are not successful when searching there is a link for the specific Premium Theme support forum for your theme under Appearance -> Themes in your blog’s Dashboard, but do note that the premium theme must be active and you must be signed in under the username account who purchased it in order to see it and post to it.

We are a new blog with 3 different authors, and we would like to have an about.me profile for each author. From what i could see though, it will only upload one profile, and doesn't have an add other profile feature. Is this integrated in the post? (will it show up below each authors post) Or is the more advanced (coding) language required to make about.me work this way.

I did not suggest upgrading to premium. http://store.wordpress.com/bundles/ In fact that upgrade does not provide FTP access or the ability to upload plugins. Only VIP hosted blogs like CNN have that ability.

Hey Derek,

Not true. You simply need to supply a download link to the Readmill widget, which can be external from WordPress entirely, and is available to free WordPress users. Give it a go: upload the book to Dropbox, get the link, paste it into the Readmill widget, and you're good to go.

Dropbox is a great, free place to upload material. Put the ePub/PDF in your "Public" folder, and make sure you use the *direct* download link from Dropbox, and not just the url.

FTP access, plugins and third party themes are available only for VIP bloggers http://vip.wordpress.com/our-services/ or for those with WordPress.ORG installs.

WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate. As I said above there is no upgrade aside from being VIP hosted http://vip.wordpress.com/our-services/ that you can purchase to install plugins. They cannot be installed by bloggers on any free hosted WordPress.com blog.

if you require plugins you hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up your own WordPress.org install. http://wordpress.org/ Then you move your content from the free hosted WordPress.com blog into the WordPress.org install. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/

Hey Derek,

Matthew here from Readmill. You'll need to copy paste your text into a word processor, and choose to export the document as either ePub or PDF format.

Here's a good tutorial: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/epub-file-ipad-nook-kobo/

Then upload that file somewhere, point the Readmill widget to its location, and then your readers will be able to send the PDF or ePub directly to Readmill. If you need further help, please drop us a line!

There is no automatic way of doing that. I suppose you could register for a stats counter as if every post were a separate blog and put the code in the post, but that would be extremely unweildy.

You can't use plugins or external designs on a wordpress.com blog. Those are only for WordPress.ORG blogs.
