And yes, Xfruits can be a useful little tool, watch out, because sometimes the delay to update is considerable. At least I've had that problem in the past.

Here's the answer: No, it not Javascript.

It is a simple flash widget processed via VodPod. Here's the code:

I use it and suggest its use quite frequently to allow Flash widgets in Wp.com. It has been a lifesaver for a few people over here.

The original question in the spanish forums was for a clock on the sidebar, and we couldn't get it to work like that so I suggested this as an alternative.

Glad to contribute with the RSS feed issue. It can be pretty handy sometimes. I'm surprised its use is not more widespread. Now you can share the joy also :)

Another option to update a blog via RSS might be via posterous and Google Reader. With GReader you can email articles to anyone. In theory you can send posts you like to posterous.com and if you have the Autopost service enabled for your WP.com blog you should be able to update it also.

Haven't seen many RSS feeds that notify you via email, but that might be another option, although I think posterous depends on you sending stuff from a specific email address so that might not work. Feedburner might not qualify for this for this same reason.

Yeah, it seems to be just the theme as my other blog has no widgets or anything added bar some posts.

I would suggest filing another one and if it's just to show staff the urgency of this as personally I think it's very messy and confusing.

I'm a victim too! Just like in Rossau's weblog my pages show 'Next' and 'Previous' at the bottom 4-5 times, thos on both Dutch and English weblog. I use the Dusk template by Beccary, I do not use the Share button, nor changed/added any other option.
Do I file my own bug report?

Yeah, I've checked it on a blog which doesn't have anything fancy and it occurs with FF & IE, too, so staff must have changed something on the theme recently which caused it to go funky.

Normally they're quite quick in fixing things though. :)

Another thing just for the records. The last thing I've changed/added a few days ago is the "Share..." button (www.addthis.com service) in some articles. So it was suspicious at the first glance. But since you told me that this occurs also in other blogs with this theme there must be another reason.

Could you submit a bug report to support staff linking with all your info in your post [thanks for making it so detailed btw, it really helps!] and maybe link them to this thread, too? This is something that will need to be changed with the underlying theme to which we don't have access to.

Please have a look at http://rossau.wordpress.com/ and scroll down at the first and second page. I can't remember having done anything wrong.

In German it's "Ältere Einträge" "Neuere Einträge". I have several entries there and they are misleading.

Interesting. I actually asked staff to help with this RSS issue for a liveblogging charity event and not even they could figure out how to do it.

Well, actually there is a way of doing this. I already posted it on the spanish forums, but here it goes. I agree this can easily be misused but I also think it is worth knowing about it:

There is a site called http://xfruits.com that offers a wide range of RSS-related services. Almost anything that cab be done with an RSS is here. One of the options is to update a blog via a RSS feed. I have tested it and works quite well although it has the serious drawback that sometimes it can take quite a while to update from the RSS feed to the blog.

Here's an example on spanish on my test blog. Ignore the first posts (Twitter widget tests)

I have my Google Reader Shared Item RSS feed directed here. As you can see it posts the comments and the original source, so it is quite practical, although I had to modify the RSS feed to do this.

Hi, just set up my wordpress acct and still new to twitter as well. When setting up the twitter widget, it asks for title and twitter username,; not exactly sure what to enter for username. I, too, get the "no response" no matter what I put in username.

More updates for the Twitter widget have been deployed, including better error handling if the Twitter account is not public, option to hide replies, and a dropdown for the # of tweets to show (max of 20).

I guess it all comes down to personal preference. I like my Earl Grey tea strong and milk makes it smoother.

I can't stand Red Bull, but I also prefer Diet Coke, the taste seems less sickly sweet.

Semi skimmed milk is nicer in taste, but admittedly it doesn't look as nice as normal milk.

For me it's mug all the way, large mugs, but that could just be construed as laziness on my behalf seeing that it means I have to make tea less often!

The question is just which sugar though, white or brown or sweetener or even rock sugar? Has anyone tried rock sugar that's inbedded in rum?
