Right...... So I've been searching for a converter tool, but I couldn't find one that would actually work. Either I had to fill out database data like login name and password, etc, while I have a SQL file.... or I couldn't use the evaluation version (already contacted the makers of the tool about this). Can anyone suggest a tool in which I can enter the sql-file (my old site and database have been deleted) and get a XML-file?
Also, what should this XML file look like? I noticed one program (which sadly I couldn't use) where you can make a XML-layout, but I haven't got a clue as to what it's supposed to look like. So far I haven't been able to find that info (probably looked in the wrong direction :) ).

Thanks for the wonderful help again!

Thanks Raincoaster! I hadn't found that specific one, probably didn't use the correct key word :).

So, I'll need a converter.... I'll go looking for that!

Hi,

I have had my blog previously hosted on a rented space with everything stated in a database (movable type). I've tried to import the database file, but it doesn't give me any results. I've got about 2 years worth of posts to import, but nothing is showing up. I just get the message that it's done and that I can view my site, but my site doesn't show any posts, nor does the dashboard do. Is there a way to import a database file (SQL) which was created by Movable type?

Thanks for the help!
