The file is divided into sections by item tags and everything for a post is contained within those item tags.

You open the file in text editor (on Windows, use jujuedit) and save out between closing and opening statements:

</some-statement>
<---------------------------------split here
<some-other-statement>

then save each one as 1.xml, 2.xml, 3.xml

Work on a copy - keep the original file safe!

But..... we have an import problem right now so you'll have to hold off for a short time.
