Hi,

I had the same problem after upgrading. What worked for me was to set the "Full URL path to files (optional)" parameter (settings > miscellaneous) to the actual URL of the upload folder ie. http://.../wp-content/uploads

Prior to this it was using the phisical location of the file on the server - ie. / var/www/wp-content/uploads

This just started when I got a "server maintenance" message a couple hours ago. If I upload an image, the thumbnail does not show up on the image upload window, and when I insert the image into a post, it does not show up there, or in the preview, or when I publish the post. If I take the image URL and put it in the browser address bar, the image shows up just fine, so the image has uploaded properly. Three blogs, and all three of them will not display an image in the editor or in a post.

I, having had virtually no problems with the image side of things after the upgrade, seem to be getting my medicine today.

Both FF 2.0.0.14 and Safari 3.1, Mac OS X 10.4.11
