I have tried to change the background img and color but doesn't seem to work with the light version of Photography.

I found the following in your Appearance → Custom Design → CSS editor:

body {
	background:url('http://whitelineninteriors.files.wordpress.com/2012/05/zigzagbackground2.jpg') repeat top left;
}

In order to override an existing background image already set by the theme or by the Appearance → Background or Theme Options pages, you need to make the new rule you ad more specific. One way to do that is to use "!important". Here is an example:

body {
	background:url('http://whitelineninteriors.files.wordpress.com/2012/05/zigzagbackground2.jpg') repeat top left !important;

are still https for anyone that clicks on them giving that security warning.

Is there a way to remove the https from those links?

Rather, it's a misguided warning more than anything, and only you will see it when logged in.

When you connect to your Dashboard over an HTTPS connection, we use an SSL certificate to encrypt your connection. SSL certificates need to be signed to a specific domain, and we can't provide certificates for every mapped domain, so our certificate is signed for WordPress.com.

When you connect to your Dashboard via your own domain but your security software sees a certificate signed to http://wordpress.com/ it's altering you that WordPress.com may be intercepting your connection, which of course is perfectly fine.

Most security systems like this should have a way to add a permanent exception so you will never see the warning again in this instance.

We updated the domain of our blog from wallstreetmainstreetlaw.wordpress.com to wallstreetmainstreetlaw.com

When people "follow" our blog and receive the kickback email to confirm confirmation, the links to other pages on our site show up with a security warning due to the HTTPS. My IT department says that I need an HTTPS certificate. If so, how do I obtain one? If not, how do I fix this problem before the website gets promoted?
