So, are you saying that every time I insert a link within a post to another one of my posts this is going to happen?

I imagine then it's okay to trash these?

This just started happening today. Of course, I can go in and delete all the Comments (waiting for my approval) but I'm afraid I might also delete the post if I do that. Should I be concerned?

At the very least it's annoying and obviously should not be happening.

Then I will embed a link to that PPT file from my WP blog so that interested parties can view just those kinds of samples in slide show vs clicking all over my blog/portfolio.

I'll try what you said, but maybe I had better stick with the Posts for anything with multiple images that need headers, captions, etc.

You can't drag the image down manually in Chrome, but you used to be able to in Firefox. What you CAN do is Select the image, Cut, put the cursor where you want the image, and Paste. I've just done that and it works fine.

Where it's not working is when I try to inset text between each image -- even though it looks like there's enough white space between each image to insert that text.

Why is that I cannot move the image down manually ... on the page? Because in iWeb I could do that ... move both text and images around without having to reinsert the images.)

This one however, does elude me. I'm creating a few pages with already existing catalog samples, etc. displaying in the page above which I now want to write a commentary, etc. However, for some reason the cursor does not work in the Page format. I just have to guess where I'm at and start keying in the word.

That's okay (though less than desirable); however, it is not okay that I can't move my existing images down the page so that I can insert my comment, header, or whatever. In order for me to make those insertions above the existing image, I actually have to delete the image, key in the text I want, the reload the same image.
THAT is tedious and time consuming to say the least.

Anyone know if this is normal? Also, if not, would it a problem of this particular theme or a problem in general.

But when you went to Page Two it just showed the word Description and Slug, etc., and because I knew those extras categories had to be there, I clicked on Name and lo and behold up popped those missing categories. Why it only hid those categories on the second page and not the first, I will never know.

Anyway, problem solved. I deleted those repeat categories, etc.

In the section where i CREATE categories it lists 20 categories(Direct Mail is there only once)

In the Menu section, on the left-hand side where you PICK the categories you created in the original Categories there are 23 categories listed. (Direct Mail is listed 2 times)

In the Custom Menu section on the right-hand side, there are only 15 categories which is okay, because that are the categories I want listed in the order I have them.

You see the problem here? I need to get rid of that extra Direct Mail category but how since it's not even listed twice in the only place I can delete categories!

To repeat, I just want all my categories to match in each place so I don't get confused ... especially when I'm going to select which categories I want my posts in. :)

(1) The original section titled CATEGORIES where you actually set your categories
(2) On both sides of the MENU section (A) Where you select which ones you want in your Custom Menu and (2) In the Custom Menu itself.

I thought all my sections were matching. The PROBLEM, however, is that when I went to write a post and went to choose which categories to put the post under (in the drop down menu on the right in the Post section) it had several EXTRA categories that were not in the CATEGORIES section. Of course, that drop-down box did match the box of categories under Menus. BUT, I repeat, it did NOT match the categories where you actually insert and delete them!

In other words, there is no place I can delete those extra categories (The category DIRECT MAIL is repeated three times!) other than in the original Categories section ... except that those repeat categories are not there!

So, the big question is, how do I delete those repeat categories so they are not showing up every time I go to create a new post? It's very confusing because obviously I don't want to check DIRECT MAIL three times!

I hope I made my case clear enough. It's so hard to "tell" rather than show something like this. :)

Air Odyssey: That's what I'm doing actually ...using a jpeg thumbnail though I'm not linking from the thumbnail because the PDF's are posted in each blog entry. Are you saying to ALSO link the thumbnail to the SCRIBD side...where my original PDF's are posted?

BTW, do you (or anyone) know if people can view my PDF's posted on Scribid IF they link to those PDF's from my blog entry? (Scribd always gives that option underneath each PDF I have posted on my blog.)

The reason I ask is because all my PDF's are marked PRIVATE on Scribd. That's because I only want people to view those samples who have come to my blog...not people who go directly to SCRIBD. But I think I need someone to test my blog to see if when you link to Scribd from any one of my PDFs you can actually view the writing sample on Scribd itself. Because if not, I guess I will have to remark all my images to Public.

Would you mind testing this for me? I think I will post this as a New Topic just in case this question gets lost in this unrelated post.

In my humble opinion, for readability purposes, and to make your site more accessible, it would not be a good idea to completely replace PDF text documents with JPEG equivalents. But if the PDF is actually a converted JPEG and text stays as an image and cannot be highlighted or copied, then it doesn't really make a difference. That's just my two cents. Other volunteers might think differently.

However, I've noticed that sometimes Scribd is a slow load and/or the pdf doesn't appear on my post fast enough. Would it be better to be using .jpg (when possible) vs. PDF's? (Either way, many of my images I'm creating as a screen capture, then turning that into jpeg's or a PDF so I'm not sure how that ultimately translates in terms of readability, etc.)

Any thoughts/suggestions?

BTW, so sorry about that fall. Sounds awful, though it seems you're managing okay. I'm curious, why did you choose the name "timethief." Because right now that is my biggest struggle ... time just seems to be slipping through my fingers and it's a constant struggle to stay focused. (It doesn't help that I struggle with ADHD and have about six creative projects I want/need to accomplish this year... man, could I use a time management coach!)
