OK, I did a boo-boo. I have several people as "users" and their status is "viewers." I "invited" them, as I want my new blog http://dudeinbristol.wordpress.com to be subscritpion only. These folks have signed on. But then I noticed that none of them are receiving any notifications via email when I post a new blog. So, after looking into it... I noticed these "viewers" are not "followers." How do I make that switch? Is there a way to make my viewers receive automatic email notifications when I post a blog? If not, what's the behind the scenes trick to make viewers become followers, or is this something the follower has to do? Thanks!

How do I change a follower into a user? I actually originally sent her the request to be an author (her very first request from this blog), but the system only allowed her to be a follower. I have resent the request to be an author, which seemed to go through, but it didn't show up in her email. What did we do wrong? Any ideas?
