I would like to have some enterprises advertising in my blog. There is some prospects that want to have their banners in my blog page. May I have it in my blog at worpress? How can I do it? What should I do in my blog configuration to make it possible to have banners at my blog?

We do have an advertising program called WordAds.

Advertising outside of WordAds at WordPress.com is not allowed.
There are no restrictions if you setup a self-hosted WordPress.org blog instead of a WordPress.com blog, but there are some added responsibilities.

WordPress occasionally will show ads on your blogs to help pay for all the expenses of running this service. That started back in mid 2006. See the bottom of the "features" page.

You can get the no ads upgrade so that they will not show up on your site. The cost of the upgrade helps offset the loss in ad revenue.

this is strange.. when i tried to view one of my recent post (not logged), i saw below 'adds by google' in unusual way. how come it get in there..?

The ads are basically "forever" unless wordpress were to simply quit using them. It is part of their revenue stream that pays for all I mentioned plus all of their employees in support and such. As universal says, they will come and go on your blog, but they will come and go forever unless you get the no-ads upgrade and renew it each year.

thats the whole point "occasionally" and "sometimes". After they paid for their expenses do they take the ads down or not? I am not sure about paying 30 $ for something that can already be solved from time to time.

No, wordpress occasionally will show ads on blogs here to help pay for all the datacentera and the bandwidth and such required to run this service. Generally they will only occasionally show up when someone (not logged into wordpress.COM) comes to your site from a search engine link.

The no-ads upgrade removes all those ads from your blog. They will no longer appear as long as you have the no-ads upgrade.

There is a google ad at the end of the page and I want to get rid of it, how can do that?

Sometimes being the premise that in a given time T, I will not have giant hamburger ads float around my site cause WP will accumulate sufficient funds to remove them. In that sense, is it possible that I can wait it out?

I dont use adsense program, though I submitted my site to googleblogs is this happening because of that?

Please don't post the same thing repeatedly in different threads; it just makes more work for the volunteers.

Is your blog hosted here, or is it externally hosted? Please give us a link, starting with http, because the answer depends on the blog. For one thing, you can't upload external themes to a WordPress.com blog at all.

It is virtually the same but with the self-hosted blog you have more possibilities, but you also have more responsibilities such as you have to do the installation and configuration, you have to do all the updating, troubleshooting, and backups, and if something goes wrong you have to fix it.

Yes, you can have ads, but as with any "service" pay attention to, read, and understand the web hosts terms of service. Do keep in mind though that unless you get 1,000 hits per day or more, you will likely just pay for your web hosting and domain registration fees.

Hi , recently made a new blog , I am thinking of buying a domain name and host pack and because I will have to pay for these I want to make certain .

Ads are not allowed at WordPress.COM. They are at WordPress.ORG.

Please some one help me!!! I have an advertisement deal with global grind but the adify adds they sent me dont show up when i post them. Can someone help me with this? Do I need a custom layout all together? Is there any one out there that can do one if i do need a custom css layout?

No. If you map your wp.com domain to your own domain, you're still bound by the rules of wp.com. If you hire your own webhost and install the wp.org software you can do what you like.
