You could always use Urban Spoon or one of the Yelp competitors. Some of them have HTML only widgets.

When it comes to third party widgets do be aware there are some that we cannot use. http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/

I've spent hours looking for something like this, but putting in "rating" or "review" brings up a ton of support information.

I'm totally new to blogging and new to WordPress. I'm hoping to start my fly fishing blog soon.

I'm starting a fly fishing apparel and soft goods business and I hope to use my blog to keep customers informed and entertained. (If they check out my commerce site that's even better but I don't want the blog to be an advertisement!)

I was just wondering if anybody had any advise for a "new guy" just starting his blog. Any good books or articles I should read?

BTW, I've tried to put the following plain XHTML but there are problem with comments!. The opening "<!-- [if lte IE 6] -->" is putted but the closing "-->" makes problems, the ">" char is escaped with ">", there is a way to make this code working? Thank you again for your time ;).

I recently joined Foodbuzz.com and I would like to add their "Badges" (http://www.foodbuzz.com/widgets) on my sidebar. However, I am not sure which Widgets tool can do this. I am using the "Unsleepable" template at the moment.
