* When you are about to insert an image, you get four size options: full-width, large, medium and thumbnail. Full-width means original size, if the original is narrower than the main column, or downsized to the column width, if the original is wider. The default widths for the other three options should be set by you in Settings > Media. The width of the main column in Twenty Eleven is 585px, so you should set large, medium and thumbnail to around 500, 300 and 150, respectively.

I was wondering if it possible to have the images of posts on the left and then writing on the right and continuing at the bottom, like a newspaper article.

Please remember to remove the original code you added for the #access, #main, and #footer selectors as it is unneeded and in order to avoid any confusion when editing the code in future.

As a side note, I would recommend using a maximum width of 1000px for your website. A majority of desktop users have screen size of 1024x768, thus a web page with a width of 1050px may not display as desired on their screens.

If you are using Windows you could use Windows LiveWriter which will make tables:

(I don't think any of those editors for macs do tables)

Second, you don't even need a table inside a table: you can insert the image as an independent image, setting its alignment to left, and use a table for the two-column data only, setting the appropriate width for it (not the way you've tried) and setting it to float right, so that it will show next to the image.

I'm trying to build the individual product pages to have a table in which the left cell has the photo of the product, and then the right cell has a second table with specifications and details listed. Now it all looks perfect in the visual editor (first link) but doesn't align correctly on the live page (second link).

It's been suggested to me that using a Custom CSS Manager plugin will allow me to solve the problem, however my dashboard doesn't have a plugins section. Can anyone suggest a solution??

Preferably without having to pay for the upgrade...
