Misty Lake does not support Featured Header Images, which is what it sounds like you're looking for.

You can try adding multiple header images and selecting the "random" option in Appearance -> Header to display a variety of non-specific header images across your site, or try browsing the Theme Showcase to find themes that do support Featured Image Headers:

I am using the Misty Lake theme with my blog. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to make the cool header "stick" to the post when I change to a new post and new header? Right now, the header is general and if I put in a new one, it goes for all of the posts, but doesn't relate.

- l got the invitation email
- I accepted
- I logged in registrating a new wordpress account
- I pressed 'accept' again
And now I see my new avatar in the dashboard as like all the other users, but this doesn't appear on the blog site, too.
Not in the side bar, nowhere. And I find no option in the theme to show the users or the numbers of users at least...

Note that users who create a new WordPress.com account at that point will still need to return to the invitation email and click the “Accept Invitation” button after doing so.

Or does it depend on the user status of them? (I gave them user state 'author')

NOTE: I do not use the theme customizer. All of the very same functions can be accessed from your dashboard.
Appearance > Header
Appearance > Background
Appearance > Theme Options (applicable only to some themes)
Settings > Reading (set a static front page)
Site Title and Tagline > Settings > General

Do understand that no changes you try out aside from those such as Custom Background, Custom Header and Theme Options which are stated on the theme description pages for each theme will be visible to visitors unless you purchase an annually renewable custom design upgrade?

It wasn't.

The header wants an image 960 x 250 pixels - and will scale whatever you insist on to be no wider than the main column - still leaving the white space to its right (in the sidebar column). I think all I did was end up with a skinnier picture.

I just looked. I use Firefox - the header (just the part with the menu) goes all the way across.

But my image only tops the left-hand column. Next to the image, there is nothing topping the sidebar column.

The menu goes across the two columns, but the image does not.

The Search widget is at the same height as my blog post title; above Search, and next to the image which tops the left column, is a blank space.

I tried pasting a screen image here, but this text box wouldn't accept it.

How do I put a picture here for you to see?

I appreciate your help! Just don't know how to make myself clearer.

If not, what might be happening is you're looking at it from a different browser, and themes DO look different on different browsers. I'm on Firefox.
