Not sure where to ask this, I think it's a Gravatar problem, but it manifests on the "Author Grid" widget, so I thought I'd try here.

Our blog has 21 authors, and 20 of the icons on the author grid work perfectly. Our 21st and newest author is somehow messed up.

When you click "View Complete Profile" you correctly go to his Gravatar page:
http://en.gravatar.com/fotofranca

But when you click the icon on the widget, you get a 404 error because it takes you to the wrong author page:
http://irez.me/author/fotofranca/

I believe that author link should take you to this working archive:
http://irez.me/author/osishmaelnikon/

It seems that somehow his names "fotofranca" and "osishmaelnikon" have gotten crossed.

Is this a Gravatar bug?
Is this something he set wrong?

Any info on how we can fix this would be appreciated.

Hi TimeThief,

The issue isn't with the actual Author Grid or Authors widget. It's the same story for each one. When I click on certain authors, it brings me to what should be a page with all of their previous work. However, when I click on them (SacDaddy82, MommyHatesMe, etc.), their posts aren't showing up despite the fact that they've published something.

Hi Adrian,

1. Do you mean you clicked the little link in the bottom right? If that's the case, then you have to manually delete the cookie from your web browser as indicated here http://en.support.wordpress.com/gravatar-hovercards/#re-enabling-disabled-hovercards

2. Which browser are you using? Definitely if you have a hovercard open, then clicking on something within it should trigger that link, not something underneath it.

3. We're looking at changing this behavior because we've seen it cause some problems, so this will likely change very soon. We're going to make it so that a link will only be added to Gravatars if there isn't one there already (rather than modifying one if it's there).

three huge problems on my blog:

1. I've turned them off and now have no idea how to turn them on again. Google's turning up nothing
2. if they are side by side like in the author grid widget when I try to click on something inside the hovercard it automatically just selects the content underneath and the hovercard vanishes
3. BIGGEST issue: clicking on the author gravatars takes me to their gravatar profiles instead of the posts written by them which is really useless
