We are a multi-author class site for submitting weekly newsletter articles.

When you are in any of our blog post pages, we have the author grid widget activated. If you click on the authors, you'll see that most of them go to a "Whoops" page.

After trial-and-error, I have determined that all author pages are missing the single most recent post. So if an author has 1 post, nothing shows. If they have two posts, only the first one shows. Three posts, only the oldest two show...etc.

This is not acceptable, as our instructors will be looking for a way to verify the number of posts by authors to assign grade values. Every post needs to show immediately on publication.

Please help!

Thanks,
Jessica

Hey all,

I recently posted a post on a blog a few friends and I have set up. When I click my avatar a page pops up that should display all the posts I have made. However, the last post will not appear on my 'author' page despite the fact that the post states I published this particular post. Does anyone have any thoughts about this? I am new to blogging and am want to make sure that when I share my page with friends & family all the posts I have written appear. Thank you

Thanks for providing the link to the correct blog.

1. the more tag
You can truncate your blog entries so that only the first part of certain posts is displayed on the home and archive pages. When you do this, a link will be placed directly after your excerpt, pointing the reader to the full post.

2. author byline workaround for single author blogs
Regardless of the theme, bylines will only display now if there are at least two authors who both have at least one published post in the blog. Click the link to find the workaround.

I just moved http://global-christian.net over to the enterprise theme, and I noticed that the by author field just under the title is hyperlinked as expected, but the content that is rendered under this url http://global-christian.net/author/danielckberman/ is exactly the same as my front page. It would seem that the author.php file is missing from the theme file hierarchy . Even from the standpoint of SEO (poss. duplicate content) for the entire group of people using this theme on wordpress.com it would be nice if this file could be added, or don't hyperlink.
