Not all blog themes display an author name ie. a byline at all. Previously, there were theme specific variations. Also those themes that did display author bylines were changed by Staff not long ago. Regardless of the theme, and provided the theme is designed to display a byline, bylines will only display now if there are at least two authors who both have at least one published post in the blog.
See author byline and profile displayed or not > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/08/15/author-displayed-or-not/

In order to completely separate the blogs that are not associated with each other you register another username account using a different email address when you are logged out of WordPress.com. Then you add the new username account as an official user of the blog, and designate them as an Admin. Next you transfer one of the blogs to the new username account using this process.

You can't have a single account that displays two different names. So I think the only solution is to create another account indeed (and to transfer one of the blogs to that other account).

Dear Forum,

I have 1 WordPress account (1 username + 1 key word) from which I created 2 different blogs http://inamihalache.com and http://solangeteparle.com

I want each blog to have his own author's name. But I am the only person writing.

My problem:
Is that possible without having to create a "empty" WP account and invite it to become an "author".

For the time being, when I publish new posts on my second blog http://solangeteparle.com the default author is "ina" (from http://inamihalache.com )

Hope my english is understandable.

Thanks a lot !

If you are the admin in this case, login to your Admin => Manage => Posts and then "edit" the post in question. On the right hand side at the bottom, is a blue box with "post author" and a "+" sign. Hit the + and then change the author to who you want and save the post. It will put the post author as whoever you are logged in as, so just make sure you are logged in with the author that you want, or the admin (so you can change the author like we are above).
