Unfortunately I do not have access to their systems. I can tell you that this IS the problem. Just tell them you need help changing the IP address for the domain name. Don't go into unnecessary details.
You just need to change the IP address for your domain name to that IP address I provided.
It is a simple change with us. It should be simple with them too

Go daddy are saying this:

The nameservers are correct. You need to update the '@' A record for the domain with the hosting IP address.

This is done with their Support where the domain is registered.

Wild West Domains is the name of the Registrar for WordPress.COM - if you bought your domain name here that is what the registrar should show

As for the name server info - that comes from Godaddy and their people should be smart enough to give you the correct name server info - Godaddy uses many name servers - if you use the wrong name server info your site will not work -

You don't have a WordPress.COM issue - WP.COM is letting you change your name servers just fine - do you have any strange redirects?

Sorry, I'm not good at all of this,

The name severs shown above are the ones I found on go daddy and then copied onto the wordpress.com account using this tutorial

Godaddy should accept name servers and IP addresses should not be needed - your domain name is set:

Name Server: NS31.DOMAINCONTROL.COM

Is that to your host?
Has your host set their system records for your domain name correctly - your new host needs to do the equivalent of domain mapping to have their servers send traffic to the correct place

At 1:20PM Pacific there was a site-wide outage/service degradation on WordPress.com. The root cause was idenfitifed to be some debugging code which was trying to connect to servers which had been decommissioned. Once the issue was identified, it was quickly resolved and service returned to normal about 1:27PM. We are in the process of auditing our codebase to ensure the same problem will not happen in the future. Sorry for the inconvenience.

On 4 June, 2012 I bought this domain name http://www.jedwardian.com

I havn't touched it since but now want to use it for something. However, when checking in WHOIS I am the registrant, and my email address and postal address are both mine, and it is hosted by Automattic. But I can't LOGIN. I can't remember what my username or password is. I would really like to access and start working on this blog.

Every time I go to Automattic's Server Status page, WordPress.com servers seem to be having connection issues in China.

Is WordPress.com (and all associated blogs with WordPress.com) blocked in China?

I've been searching everywhere to try and find the right tutorials on how to transfer my wordpress from a .com to a .org.
However, I have found several different tutorials that are not quite giving me what I need.

I have a WordPress now (www.exfuzeAusLive) and I want to change it to my own Host (HostGator).

I have changed the name servers, installed Fantastico, downloaded FileZilla and Unlocked the site from WordPress(Automattic I believe).

I have now hit a rock. I can't seem to see what the next step is!

Any help would be great!

Themes here at wordpress.com have been modified to work here with the restrictions and unique features and you cannot use them on self-hosted blogs. You can use that theme on your site here for as long as you wish, but you cannot use it on a .ORG site.

The elemin theme is available for .ORG blogs directly from the theme designer at: http://themify.me/themes/elemin .
