For example, someone commenting with a Blogger account should definitely have an avatar but it doesn't show up.

Incorrect. Google owns Blogger and the avatars they use are not globally recognized Gravatars. Automattic owns both WordPress.com and Gavatar and every WordPress.com account is a Gravatar account so the Gravatars will display. http://gravatar.com/ Blogger avatars will not display on your blog.

I have the Settings > Discussion options set so avatars appear with comments but only those who comment using a WP account will have an avatar. I have it set to display the generic one when people don't have avatars but it displays for everyone, regardless. For example, someone commenting with a Blogger account should definitely have an avatar but it doesn't show up. I've tried switching it to the gravatar option but with that set it only shows the default Gravatar logo. Please help!

A recent change to how the Likes avatars appear on my blogposts means that if there are more than four Likes, a dropdown scroll appears but only the first four avatars appear, with text indicating, say, 8 bloggers like this. Scrolling down does not show any more than those four Likers.

I think this new process kinda defeats the idea. I would like to see it changed back to the original, where all Likers' avatars appear. Thank you.

Hi there,

I have done some testing, and apparently it's because of the post titled Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia

When someone comments on the post, it brings it up in the Recent Comments widget, and the long title essentially "pushes" the Gravatar over, making it appear smaller and smaller, depending on the length of the title.

There are a few solutions/options:

* You can ignore it best you can (less than optimal)
* You can use smaller titles (I don't recommend this - it's too restrictive!)
* You can switch themes to something with a larger sidebar
* You can purchase the Custom Design upgrade and add the CSS to make that sidebar a bit wider to accommodate these longer titles and the Gravatars simultaneously (I personally like this option the best for you getting what you want looking just right, but the downside is that there is a cost involved)

Let me know if you'd like more information or you'd like help getting anything set up.

I'm very sorry for the inconvenience!

Here's an interesting anomaly. Yesterday, I changed three of my blogs to the Blaskan theme. All three blogs are set to have sidebars with the same widget sets that I have edited for continuity across the blogs.

The http://BolesBlues.com "Recent Comments/Shared Thoughts" sidebar widget is not updating the right commenter Avatar size. It is stuck at its current size no matter what size I choose and save while editing the widget. I have tried changing the theme and changing it back and also removing and editing the Widget to no righting effect.

My http://GoInside.com and http://UrbanSemiotic.com blogs are set up with the same widget sets and there's no problem with the commenter Avatars getting resized.

On, perhaps, a similar note... in the Rich Text/Visual post editor for the Boles Blues blog, all the hotlinks are BRIGHT BLUE -- even if they have been visited -- while Go Inside and Urban Semiotic and the other blogs all reflect a "visited" status for previously viewed links.

Can a staff member do some sort of backend whammying to reset the Boles Blues Blaskan theme for me to correct these problems? Everything seems to be in a cached saved state for the theme and widgets no matter if I change/delete themes and widgets.

Thank you!
