Found a solution, all you need to do on Bandcamp is to select the album in question then go to Edit, here's an example one for an album I've got

http://damncrows.bandcamp.com/edit_album?id=858897218

The ID listed there is what you need to copy, so to embed that on WordPress the code uses the same as before but with that code

[bandcamp album=858897218
bgcol=FFFFFF linkcol=4285BB size=venti]

Previously I've been able to share music from bandcamp on my blog following these instructions - http://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/bandcamp/ .

Problem is, the Share/Embed button on bandcamp no longer appears to give the option of sharing to wordpress.com. I've tried several different bandcamp pages today, all the same.

It seems that it should still be possible because old links still work - all I need is to access the relevant shortcode.

Has anyone found a solution to this ?

I've reviewed the list of shortcodes at http://en.support.wordpress.com/shortcodes/, but I've noticed it does not list Bandcamp on this list and I generated a shortcode from there just this morning. I'm assuming this means there are other "trusted partners" out there as well. Are there any others missing from the support doc that anyone is aware of? I'm trying to make sure I've got a fully functional list of my options since I can't just embed iframe and java. Thanks!

I'm trying to embed a bandcamp,com player for this track in a blog post. The share/embed link on the bandcamp page generates this code for wordpress.com:

[bandcamp track=1234984057 bgcol=FFFFFF linkcol=4285BB size=venti]

and this code for wordpress.org:

<iframe width="400" height="100" style="position: relative; display: block; width: 400px; height: 100px;" src="http://bandcamp.com/EmbeddedPlayer/v=2/track=1234984057/size=venti/bgcol=FFFFFF/linkcol=4285BB/" allowtransparency="true" frameborder="0"><a href="http://mariancall.bandcamp.com/track/got-to-fly">Got to Fly by Marian Call</a></iframe>

Neither succeeds in embedding the player. The wordpress.com version doesn't get displayed in the post at all, and the wordpress.org version is just converted into a link to the bandcamp,com page, ignoring the iframe tags.

Any suggestions?

Hi there,

Basically I'm putting a song up for free download (with copyright etc etc). I know that all I have to do is post the link, people right-click and do 'save link as' and they can get it, but is there anyway I can make it so that they can just click the link and it starts downloading without right-clicking? It's not that big a deal but it'd just be handy to know if there's a url modification I can make or something.

Cheers in advance for any help,
