I used the following CSS:

It managed to bump it up and have no space but there is a shadow under the menu which gives it an odd 3d effect and i don't want that. Is there an easier way to do this in CSS? And also how to add little icons for social networks to the left of the content page. How to do that in CSS?

What is the code and what is it for? Please place it here between backticks. The backtick is found on the key to the left of the number 1 key on your keyboard. It's in lower case on the same key as the tilde ~. After you post the code we may be able to provide a workaround.

P.S. If it's a code that is for advertsising, affiliate links, Google Analytics, Javascript or an iframe code - we cannot use them.

In general, yes this is possible, but it depends on the theme and how things are organized in the markup and in the CSS.

If you go to settings > reading and reduce the number of posts to show down to say two or three and then report back here after doing that, I will take a look.

It is always good to keep your site loading fast and to thing of the people with slower internet connections as they might decide to click away and not wait for your site to load. Also, the search engines consider page loading times when calculating search engine ranking and slow loading sites will get reduced page rank.
