I am trying to add a hyperlink to one of my pages. In edit mode, the entire edit field is blank, no text or tools, though the text is up on the actual site. What could be the problem? Thanks

Hi,

I was trying to edit some pages this evening and the 'Edit Page' content window is blank. It's also missing the tool bar.

If I highlight within the window, there is actually some text (looks like HTML) there, but it doesn't look as it normally does. Clicking the 'text' and 'visual' tabs does nothing.

At the same time, I have noticed that my site (http://bigbirthas.co.uk) isn't displaying as it should. The layout is merely text links, no sidebar, no dropdown menu etc.

I tried deactivating a few of the most recently updated plug-ins, but that hasn't helped. Any ideas?

I'm not aware that I've changed anything structurally at all since I posted my last page and post yesterday, so I really can't work out what's changed. I've also tried viewing the site on my mobile in case the problem was specific to this laptop, but the problem was replicated there.

Please help!

Slider: up to 6 posts.
Recent articles: 3 posts.
More articles (quoting from my previous reply): "the number of posts it displays is set in Settings > Reading."

Hi all. I had the same question so thank you as it has answered what I wanted to know.

It has raised one more question though...

In Settings > Reading, where I can set the number of posts that can be displayed, if I have that set to 10, does that mean it will only ever show 1 in 'more articles'? i.e. x6 on the slider, x3 in recent articles and then x1 in more articles?

Or does it only refer to the number of posts that appear in recent articles and more articles?

Please remove blank featured image div from theme, because many of our posts dont have featured image that is shown on main front page...
And im not talking about the showcase featured images

Not at all technical alas, this is my first attempt at anything like this but... I've bought a 'proper' address and managed to link it to my blog page. I've created a page I'm reasonably happy with although I can't put pictures where I'd like them to go. But my main problem is when I type the web address, it brings up just the blank page with my own title and tag line, but no proper text. When I click the tag line, my own page appears. I don't know how to get this proper page to appear immediately.. Any help would be gratefully received, thanks for reading.

I have tried making a WP 33 times so far. This is my 34rth time. I have 34 Emails so far, and can't even get the themes to work right on my page. I hope WP servers gets hacked so bad they never come back up. Something as bad as WP don't even need to be online. Hope that wp gets hit with a DDoS attack flood so hard, that it's going to cost them more $ than what it's worth !

Yes that's it. The slider displays up to six sticky posts. The "recent articles" section displays your latest three (non-sticky) posts. The "more articles" section displays the rest of your recent posts; the number of posts it displays is set in Settings > Reading.

Thanks for answering btw, so there is no location where you can prioritise posts?
And is there a way to find out when recent posts become -not recent- meaning they'll go the the more articles category? is it time based or based on the amount of posts made?

Hi guys,

I recently started using the oxygen theme, and I'll probably decide to keep using it. I've managed to use the showcase page and and the black sidebar section so many users seem to have problems with.
So far, so good.

Unfortunately I have no post that appear under the 'more articles'title.
I've read some posts here stating you have to change the location from primary to secundary. But I haven't been able to find any such option in the dasboard area anywhere.
I'm hoping someone can help me out. Probably a print screen will do the trick.

Thanks in advance, I've tried to sort this issue reading the support pages and forum, but couldn't come up with any answer thusfar.

Nevertheless you can add a profile widget of your facebook profile (not page) to your blog. If you don't have/want to add the page widget.

You can add a Facebook like button to your blog ONLY if you have a Facebook fan page (not profile).

Hi, I am new to WordPress. I plan on reading up and learning over the next few weeks.

In the meantime, I created a "coming soon" page in PSD and saved as a jpeg. How can I just create a single page template to get this static background image up for my domain while I read up and learn about WordPress over the next few weeks? I have looked everywhere and cannot find a solution for a single page template with customizable background only???

This plugin below looks like it would be perfect but how do I make the plugin into a single page template without any foreground? I could use my image as the background/teaser/landing page...

I think I don't understand the terminology. The first URL I entered was my homepage, is that considered a profile? The second URL I entered was my newsfeed.

Did you enter the URL for a page (not a profile)? It will not display until you do.
