Judging by the domain's data, it is also possible that the main domain priscillaouverney.com expired on March 1. If you have not yet paid GoDaddy for the domain renewal this year, I recommend checking with them ASAP.

I use my blog mainly as a static personal website, so I don't visit it every day. Last week, I went to my site and was startled to discover an error message saying "This website is offline", and sure enough I couldn't get to anything but cached versions of the site. A few hours later, it was back to normal. I thought it might have just been a glitch somewhere, but I've been going back and checking it throughout this week and at least half of the time, it is "offline" and you can't see any of the pages. (I have a screenshot of what it looks like when it is offline, if that would be helpful.)

I'm not really sure what is causing this--but I have a feeling it might be something very obvious that I am doing wrong! I would appreciate any insight into what might cause a wordpress.com site that doesn't receive that much traffic to go offline when wordpress itself is up and running.

This is particularly distressing as it appears to turn on and off sporadically, and as I will be going on the job market soon the last thing I want is a site that fluctuates in and out of existence!

I changed the DNS settings at some point recently because I noticed the red 'DNS settings need to be updated' note.

I used the wordpress.com nameservers and all was fine. But then I stopped receiving emails! So I changed it back.

Have just updated the nameservers again, but this time ticked the 'I wish to keep receiving emails through petrolblog.com' option.

Hoping this may sort everything?!

It would appear that my blog (PetrolBlog.com) has been down for at least 24 hours.

I haven't touched it since Wednesday so I'm not sure why it would go down now. The comments/spam function has been shaky since the start of the year, but the main blog has been fine.

Looking at other sites, mine appears to be the only one affected.

Can anyone help please!?

Changing the Unicode encoding on my browser does not work however.
