I don't to display on my front page of my blog, just in the dashboard.

I would probably buy the new domain name and point it to the blog you want it to go to - then change the mapping for the existing domain name to the new blog - you can have more than one domain name mapped to the same blog so that is not an issue - you can only have one "Primary" domain name per web site / blog (the name visitors see in their browser address bar)

If all you really want to do is change the site title then note what follows. Provided you are logged in under the username account that registered the blog then, Site titles (Blog Names) and Taglines located here > Settings > General can easily be changed at any time.

But if your want to change the blog address or URL then followthis guide and know that you must be logged in under the exact username account that registered the blog in order to change it.
