Pretty simple one, but I'm wondering why my favicon/blog picture hasn't changed when since loading the first one months ago I've changed it twice, but in my bookmarks and on the tab for the site when I go there it's still showing the old one. Have cleared my cache as I know that helps, have changed my 'gravatar' as well as my blog picture to make sure but still no luck.

Perhaps somebody could visit my site and see what they see. It should currently be a red paint splat type logo, but for me is still showing as the word 'slam' on a brownish background.

I can access and change the picture that shows up on the top right hand corner, (gravatar)next to my name, by accessing my Users -My Profile.

I am wondering if it is possible to replace the wordpress logo from the website tab at the top of my explorer, I would like to put my own logo here. (please note I do mean the internet tab - not the space for a logo on the website template).

Are you asking about the FavIcon?

I managed the logo change when I used a wordpress blog but can't seem to work it out now that I am using a website template.

Thanks for responding, but that's not actually the problem I'm having. My Blavatar is displayed in my address bar, but the torch logo still remains next to our blog name on the Dashboard. You can only see this logo when logged into the blog, but when I share blog post links on Facebook the torch logo is automatically selected as the thumbnail instead of our Blavatar. It has also been several weeks since I changed the Blavatar and it has successfully appeared everywhere else so I don't think time is the problem, unfortunately.

It can take some time for the favicon — displayed in the address bar — to be refreshed with your new Blavatar (which you've uploaded in Settings → General).

In Safari 5.1.7, your Blavatar loads properly for me. (Screenshot)

Can you let me know if you're still seeing that in another browser, such as Mozilla Firefox?

I just wanted to say that the 'problem' is still persisting.

The only time that correct blavatar shows in the admin bar is if I go to the WordPress store?!! If I then navigate away from the store via the dashboard the icon remains correctly displayed. But the instant that I view or preview a post, go to my blog via "my blogs", or open my blog in a new window then the blavatar returns to the wrong image.

I have a secondary blog and there are no problems at all with the blavatar there.

If it is "some additional going on" on my end as you say, I would really appreciate if if someone could suggest what that might me and how to resolve it!

I changed our wordpress.com blog picture/logo from our old logo of the NYU torch to our new logo, which has changed all our tabs and bookmarks as desired. However, I can't figure out why the torch logo still remains next to our blog name on the Dashboard. When I paste a link to a blog post that doesn't have a picture, on Facebook for example, the torch logo automatically appears as the thumbnail instead of our logo. I can't find where this picture is saved because it is not in our media library. Do you know how I can delete the NYU torch logo and replace it with our logo?

I have also checked on three different browsers, logged in and logged out and cleared the cache.

I receved an email from WordPress saying that there was an item in my shopping cart. As I did not want this item I followed the link to remove it. On that WordPress store page, the blavatar in the admin bar was displayed correctly and when I navigated to my blog via that page it continued to be displayed correctly. However if I go to my blog any other way than via that email the gravatar is displayed incorrectly!

As I have no idea what is causing it or how to rectify I will just have to leave it I suppose!
