very new to wordpress and struggling a bit here.

When I set the site up I've somehow set my main url as the place where posts are displayed, and as the homepage (like I want), but then added a page called "home" because I didn't see a homepage listed in the pages when I started. That page has the url domainname.com/sample-page..
How do I merge these two pages/ get rid of one so that I just have a homepage displaying posts, with a url without an extension.

I've been having the following problem: Ever since a couple of weeks, my reader has only been showing the 6 most recent post. I used to be able to keep scrolling forever so to speak but now it won't load any more posts and it doesn't give the option to.

This only happens in the 'blogs I follow' bit. If I go to a certain topic it works fine.

Did I mess something up in the settings? Please help!

There are so many "blogs" that are really just companies trying to sell something or advertise things and they do post after post after post

Those are probably in violation of the terms of service here - just report them as Spam - left side of the top bar where the blog name is - mouse over it and then click on Report Spam for advertising or affiliate catalog links etc.

I sometimes see up to 20 or more posts by the same "blogger" and it is really, really annoying. Shouldn't there be something that puts some restraints on that? I'm not saying they shouldn't be able to post, but couldn't we see 1 or 2 of their posts with a link to "more posts by this blogger" when this happens? I end up switching to the App Store tag or something like that so that I don't have to sift through so much garbage to find real blogs. Is anyone else frustrated by this?
