I have since stopped using the pluging, but my blogs are still linked, and my privately hosted blog can be accessed and modified via my wordpress.com blog, I didn't expect this and I would like to remove the link but don't know how.

How can I disconnect my private blog from my old wordpress.com blogs dashboard?
