Out of say 1000+ posts on tumblr, only about 300-400 of them will make it to my wordpress account, even if it says that all 1000+ posts have been imported. I didn't even try to do a transfer to blogger. The transfer from Tumblr to WordPress is frustrating enough.

All 113 of my comments come in successfully, but for some reason, 14 of my actual posts are skipped over completely. I have tried both the general "Import from Blogger" function and the "Upload a Blogger File" function.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there any way to view which of the 348 posts have not been imported so that I can manually copy and paste them into Worpress posts?

The short answer to your question is "no;" if you would like more information, please read on.

The Tumblr importer for WordPress assumes that you will be leaving the content on WordPress/WordPress.com or a system that understands WordPress content if you are to export that data later.

When you import images from a Tumblr blog, they are placed into a gallery automatically and the method you are using to import that into Blogger doesn't "understand" these galleries or how they work.

I believe that's reference to the fcat that WordPress.com is a blogging platform that supports original content blogging. It is not an aggregation pl;platform and does not provide any splogging tools. If a blogger does not create original content on their free hosted WordPress.com blog and does nothing but fill the blog with reblogged posts the ToS Staff can suspend or delete the blog.

I understood your point that reblogging leads to duplicating (but how is that possible? reblogging is sharing the link of the original post and it redirects to the original post always) and it has issues with page ranking in search engines!

But what does it mean that

And if this reblogging thing really have so much issues, why wordpress, tumblr and other sites give that option?
