The question I have is, "Do only other bloggers read blogs at WordPress.com?"

When someone "Likes" one of my blog posts, I see this notice that says, "4 other bloggers liked this." Does that mean that only bloggers can read blogs at WordPress.com?

If that is so, it would be fine with me because I am so very happy to have been treated so cordially by the wonderful friends who do comment on my stuff but I was just wondering.

So thanks in advance for any input or information you might be able to give to me on this question and again, I am just loving being here with each and everyone of you wonderful folks.

I'm afraid I don't know what to do of this situation as I rarely ever put links in my comments and find it troubling that some of my comments reach bloggers whilst others don't. Thank you for the advice, nevertheless. You have been of great help.

The ads are supposed to be non-intrusive but there has been problems from time to time with content not being family friendly but those have been removed - you should only be seeing a single box ad or two on your site - if you have a bunch of links from words in your blog that is not WordPress.COM but a browser issue

I was so disappointed to find an ad on my blog today. Wow. I had no idea that you'd do that. I barely get any traffic. I see from reading that a lot of other people are disappointed as well.

You really need to make it CLEAR that it costs money to run an ad free blog on your site.
I will think about whether or not I want to pay to post my thoughts on the Internet.

I understand you need to make money, so why not have blogs of your own on WP with big names or whatever to attract traffic (you know how) and advertise on THOSE blogs?

I'm so SAD that you didn't give me a choice about WHAT I want to advertise on my blog and which posts I want to put ads on—I mean, if you need the money that badly, why don't you ASK your bloggers for some? Or ask where they want the ads.

I'm really bummed about this. I feel betrayed, really. Like, you broke my trust. You could have sent me a note, telling me that you were going to run such and such and ad on so and so date, etc. etc. etc.

Feel like a kid, like my mom came in my room and moved my personal stuff around. Seriously.

The Civic Theatre is about to launch its first theatre blog about the events taking place here and in the South Dublin area and we are looking for people with a keen interest in the arts.

Ideally bloggers are locals who live in the Dublin 24 area but this is not essential if you are happy to travel to the venue.

We need people who can write theatre/comedy/music reviews on a monthly basis as well as feature articles about all arts related topics, insights into performing arts companies and / or focus on breaking news.
Article/Blog post should be around 700-800 words and accompanied by suitable photos. We want the blog to be easily-accessible for all and encourage people to test drive their local theatre.

Here are 25 basic steps to take to increase traffic to your blog:
1. Structure a reader and search engine blog;
2. In blogging content is king create unique, high quality content so publish fresh content frequently;
3. Learn basic SEO so you can use keywords effectively and apply basic SEO to your headlines, blog and posts;
Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in search engines via the “natural” or un-paid (“organic” or “algorithmic”) search results.
4. Make your blog posts look professional;
5. Create at least 4-6 pillar posts and continue to create pillar posts;
Pillar posts are also referred to as flagship content. Pillar posts are comprehensive posts that offer great value to readers as the contents are timeless in nature. They define you as having authority in the niche you blog in.
6. Select and link to appropriate anchor text;
7. Leave meaningful comments on related blogs and encourage comments on your own blog;
8. Develop relationships with other bloggers so you can build a blog readers’ community around your own blog;
9. Support the blog centered communities on related blogs by commenting on them and promoting posts from them;
10. Link to authoritative sources in your posts;
11. Deep link to your earlier related posts in your new posts;
12. Assign appropriate categories and tag your posts with care;
13. Link to related authoritative blogs in your blogroll;
14. Provide RSS feeds for subscribers;

18. Verify your blog with the three big search engines.
