The problem is when in "date followed", they are not displayed in the order of the date I followed them.
And last time the design of the page changed several blogs that I am following were left off the list and out of the reader.

Thanks @jmnartsy, that helps. I was able to confirm that those sites are in your permanent block list, but unfortunately it's still unclear why they're showing up anyway. In my own testing, even if I X a large number of recommendations in rapid succession and then refresh the page many times, I can't get the X'd ones to re-appear.

Looking for more clues ... which browser type/version are you using? And if you can think of anything else that would help us track this down, let me know that too (for example, does the looping seem to happen within a short period of X'ing them or much later?). Thanks!

Some observations:

1) A recent addition to the Blogs I Follow list, in the right sidebar, is links to blogs under a heading called You May Like.

I like this idea. However, I have found, to date, many of those blogs are blocked by my very good antivirus/antispyware software that I trust implicitly. Should I keep a list and send them to Support for investigation?

2) In those You May Like choices, I often click onto the delete 'x' link if I've visited them and I'm not interested. However, those deleted blog-links often appear there again. I'm getting tired of that!

Hi there,
I've been waiting for weeks for the "blogs I follow" widget to update the content on my home page, and I've finally decided there must be something else going on. I had all of my students invite me to view their private blogs. Once I could view them, I clicked on "follow" in the upper left corner of the screen. I can see when I go to my reader, and I click on "edit" next to "blogs I follow," they all show up there. But for some reason, only 3 of them show up on my home page. The three that show up actually invited me to follow their blog, whereas all the others i clicked to follow from their home pages (once I could view them). Is there something going on with the settings for these different ways of following folks that's messing it up in my widget? Would love to get this right! Thanks!

Feedback.

The new way Reader operates means I have to make at least a minimum of three, maybe four, clicks to get to a blogpost of the blogs I follow.

In this process, I am downloading data and eating up my broadband allowance.

Why, guys?

It used to be easy to call up Reader in the Edit List mode, right-click onto the URL underneath the blog name and voila, one got to the blog itself pronto, to view and comment/like etc. any posts I found intereting. This, for me, was the easiest way to surf the WordPress Blogs I Follow. Not any more!

How about a re-think, WordPress programmer beavers? I'd appreciate that very much as it would mean less time spent clicking onto links and more time viewing blogposts. Isn't that the name of the game? :)

I am "following" my own blog, and this always used to mean that whenever I published a new post it would be listed under the "Blogs I Follow" section of the WordPress Reader. A few days ago, I noticed that my posts no longer show up under Blogs I Follow, but they do appear under the sections in the reader for the appropriate tags (writing, art, etc.) I am wondering if this is just a change in settings, where you're not allowed to follow your own blog anymore (it *is* a bit redundant) or if this means my blog is not showing up in the WordPress readers of ALL my blog followers, which would be a major issue. Thanks for your help!
