Hi! Thanks for the quick response. However the problem is somewhere else.
I checked the page order and other attributes and they appears as you indicated. I did not create the custom menu.
Now, when I am trying to add the new page, for example with an order "4" (the last one), the text I am inserting appears on the start page (this with an order "1"). Everything else looks normal. When I´m editing the start page, the original text appears in the dashboard.
For the moment I have deleted the additional "4" page, to not confuse my clients, but what am I supposed to do to add any new page to my site?

There are two approaches you can use. This first one is when you only have Pages.

1. Page Order - Page attributes module order numerically rather than alphabetically.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-attributes/#order
http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-attributes/

2. This approach is for those who have created a custom menu and have added pages and/or other items such as custom links and dynamic categories pages to that custom menu.
create a custom menu http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
add the pages and sub-pages http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#adding-pages
order them http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#changing-the-order-of-menu-items-and-creating-sub-menus

If you have a custom menu then you must establish consistency. Check the Pages sub-pages themselves to see if you have established a Parent page and child page “hierarchical structure” in the page attributes module. Remove if required.

Also remove any “order” numbers you have assigned that may conflict with the order you are creating by dropping and dragging. Or simply change them so they are the same order as you establish in the menu. Establish consistency – problem solved

Do you know how I can change the color of the titles within a page? For example if I click on the white title page that says Tom + Lauren. It takes me to a short paragraph. Above the paragraph it says "Our Story" in white, and above that, it says Tom+Lauren in a gray color that you can barely see. Is there a way I can change that to the 36bcab rather than the gray?

Right now you have the text set to bold (strong) so that selector in the CSS is ruling which is,

b, strong {
color: #000000;
}

If you switch back to normal (not bold) then the font color set in "body" would rule, which in your custom CSS is this:

body {
color: #36BCAB;
}

If you want to set a font color and size only for the content of pages and posts then it would be best to make your own rule such as this.

.entry-content p, .entry-content b, .entry-content strong {
color: #CC0000 !important;
font-size: 120% !important;
}

The CC0000 color and the 120% font size are just placeholders. Edit as you see fit. I added the "!important" attribute to make sure it overrides anything else in your CSS.

It just depends on the level of transparency or opacity you do. You might have to try several to find a level that allows the text to be legible without taking too much away from the image. The problem is there isn't a text color you can choose that is going to work without some sort of transparent color behind the content area, so you are going to have to live with whatever it takes.

The problem is not all browser support transparency in a background color (IE8 and earlier, Firefox 2.x and earlier, Opera 9 and earlier, Safari 2.x and earlier). If they don't support rgba transparency, then they will simply show a solid white background to the content area.

My suggestion is to create a transparent PNG image perhaps 10px x 10px with a white color and then set an opacity for that white color in your image editing program. Save the file, upload it to your media library, get the URL of that image and then put it into the background declaration (replace the URL OF IMAGE between the double quote marks) in the following and add the whole mess below to your CSS.

#container {
background: url("URL OF IMAGE") repeat scroll 0 0 transparent;
padding-left: 10px;
padding-right: 30px;
}

This will end up covering a lot more browsers out there.

Hello! I am very new to CSS modifications, so I need a little help.

On my blog I have a few different Pages: "Welcome", "Tom and Lauren", "RSVP" and "Location". When you click on those pages there are a few little unfinished blurbs. I would like for that text to be easier to read... possibly by changing the color and the text size.

The text must also be much bigger. Is there a way I can do this? I tried to input the codes but I don't know how to change that specific text!

Is it possible that I can put a translucent box behind the text so it is easier to read *without* blocking the background photo?

I would also like to take out the search bar, categories, and other unimportant links as I will only be using this as more of a website.

Thanks so much for taking time to read this!

First off Aiyana, I would suggest getting the Firebug or Aardvark add-ons if you are using Firefox. They are considerably useful when trying to identify selectors for page elements. In addition, Firebug lets you try out changes to the CSS and see the results immediately. It also shows the HTML on the left, and the CSS on the right, so you can easily see the relationships and get to the selectors easily. CSS is a lot harder without these tools.

Widget titles are under .secondary h2

Widget content is under .secondary Widget links and such are probably under .secondary a or .secondary a:active

The main text attributes for the entire theme are set under "body" and also under .entry-content or #primary

The image border, padding and margins are here #primary .entry-content img

As far as tables, that is typically all handled in the table code you put into the post or page. Table code generators will put a non-binding space into cells as a placeholder, and that can cause alignment issues if not remove once you put your stuff into the cell. Misalignment and such can also be due to cell spacing and padding settings.

There isn't anything in the CSS specifically for tables.

1. Any time I have text in a table vs text outside of a table, it changes the formatting. The line height, letter spacing, and justification seem different.
2. I would like to make it so I can make the margins more even around the pictures when the pictures are embedded into the text. It is narrower on the sides than on the top of bottom and I want those to be even.
3. I also would like to know if it's possible to not have a thin gray line as a border around every single image I embed. It looks nice on some of them but on the one that is supposed to be Aiyana's "signature" in that post doesn't look good with a border.

At home I use FF 2.0, and right now I am at work, using IE 7.0 on Vista.

The problem is that the body text following the H2 words "Quotes" and "Testing" is not on the following line, but begins near the right margin, squeezed in by an invisible box to the left.

I took a screenshot and uploaded it, marking the problem areas:

To organize the text, I used H2 for main sections and H3 for sub-sections. H1 was too close to the post title size.

The H2 sections show strange artifacting: http://numbertheory.wordpress.com/2008/06/06/experiment-1/. The words "Quotes" and "Testing" are in Heading 2.

I don't understand how the layout engine or the HTML work well enough to figure this out. Any help is appreciated.
