Regardless of the theme, and provided the theme is designed to display a byline, bylines will only display now if there are at least two authors who both have at least one published post in the blog. I had accidentally refreshed when I connected to my wifi

When i was writing, it was offline, but I connected to the internet and I accidently pulled down it it just refreshed and that post vanished...
There needs to be a way of automatically saving it locally when these situations arise
