Was your blog content previously imported from elsewhere?

Just followed the instructions here, and I'm writing to report that it republished all my posts in a way that meant RSS subscribers got all my posts ever in republished in their RSS readers suddenly. I'm hoping that people subscribed to get a new email each time I post won't get them all again.

The turnication is very usefull, and more or less resolves the problems I had with 1. + 2. - since I will put the gallery inside the turnicated area. This improves the overall fronpage performance and makes infinite scroll useable again.

first of all: I love the overall theme!

I encountered the following problems / bugs, maybe some are features and I just couldn't figure out how to properly configure them ;)

1. When opening + closing an image gallery on an earlier post, the scroll-position is reset to zero. That's quite annoying since the user has to scroll down all the way back to the posting he wanted to view.

2. Is there a way to switch from infinite scroll to pages of posting? When you switch of infinite scroll, a button with "more postings" appears, which has pretty much the same effect as infinite scroll. Pages of postings would be much more performance-friendly, when dealing with blogs featuring lots of fotos.

3. In the "Settings >> Reading" section there is an option so that a preview of the posts are shown on the frontpage instead of full-text. The sidekick theme seems to just post everything as full-text, even though I have the "show summary" option activated.

Again, this happens in both Chrome and Safari.

Tried again, same issue. Still freezes on "saving changes" when I try to change the background (even if I choose one of the pre-loaded prints rather than a photo).

I tried Safari and got the same "saving changes..." freeze.

You may also try it in a different browser to see if you get the same result.

Let us know if you have any luck with that!

When I go to customize the background photo on the Confit Theme, it allows me to upload a new photo, but when I click 'save' it it gets stuck in the 'saving changes' sidebar message and the background image never changes (even though it shows up as the new image while on the customization page).

The white/grey cloud photo is the first one I uploaded and was able to set as the background image; since then I've tried to change it many times with different images and always just get the unending 'saving changes' message.

Is this a known issue?

By the way, I WAS able to change and save other items in customization, like the menu and the post page and setting the static homepage. But the 'saving changes' message never goes away.

If you have Custom Design, you can manually apply a Book Lite drop-cap to those posts with a captioned image at the start using the following Custom CSS:

.drop-cap {
  letter-spacing: 0;
  font-family: Lora, Georgia, serif;
  font-variant: small-caps;
  font-size: 18px;
  font-size: 1.8rem;
}

Then apply a span around the first letter of the first paragraph when in Text view, like so:
