I have a couple of posts I want to keep as stickies, but the most recent post is automatically bumped to the top. I want to keep my original post at the top though, is this possible while still keeping the recent post sticky underneath it?

I have the mystique theme and want to remove the the space under the menu so the content is right up to it.

I used the following CSS:

#access {
list-style-type: none;
margin-bottom: 0px;
padding: 0;
position: relative;
width: 100%;
z-index: 99;
}

It managed to bump it up and have no space but there is a shadow under the menu which gives it an odd 3d effect and i don't want that. Is there an easier way to do this in CSS? And also how to add little icons for social networks to the left of the content page. How to do that in CSS?

Using the original Oxygen CSS causes the 2-column grid with images to shuffle, shift, resize, move on mouse hover. This is slightly annoying because it creates unwanted movement of images.

Changing this style rule from the original:

.widget-grid-view-image a {
display: block;
margin: 0 2px 4px 0;
}

To this adjusted rule:
.widget-grid-view-image a {
display: block;
margin: 0 2px 2px 0;
}
Fixes the unwanted image shuffling.

I would have no need to purchase the Custom package other than to fix this little annoyance. I'm hoping this can be corrected in the original style sheet.

You can randomize the icons by choosing one of these selections from Settings > Discussion > Default Avatar (bottom of Discussion Settings page).

- Identicon (Generated)
- Wavatar (Generated)
- MonsterID (Generated)

Maybe you're referring to MonsterID?

Hi, You know how when someone who hasn't signed up for wordpress and comments has a random Icon. I've seen a few websites with funny faces for the icons.

How do you do that?

I don't think that's a CSS issue. It's a very common issue with your Read More tag; you've split some other tag, in other words you have

You need to look at your code and make sure both the opening and closing tags are on the same side of the read more. I generally make sure to put the Read More on a separate line all by itself, and that prevents this from happening.

Our right navigation keeps bumping down below our page. I'm new to WordPress/CSS and not sure what I should be looking for or where to fix this. Anyone got advice? Thanks in advance.

What you want (I think) is the ability to make a post "sticky" so it's always "on top". This has also been requested by about a half dozen other people as well. http://wordpress.com/forums/search.php?q=sticky+post
I think it would be a great feature myself and hope that it does come to be. :)

Thanks Mark. I'm actually trying to avoid creating it as a stand alone page, since there might be other posts down the road which I would also like to bump from time to time.

You could edit the Timestamp of the post.
That could get tedious.

Why not write it as a Page?
Then create an empty page called 'Posts'
In Options > Reading you can set the pages as you need.
