omg I just hate to FU things....

heres the problem I was making my WP with a brand new 50$ template and I want some privacies in http://www.ecubica.com so I entered general settings and changed the WordPress Address (URL) to http://www.ecubicax.com

and saved....suddenly the page didnt want to enter the siTE..AND NOW CANT ENTER..plz help...im desperate!

I'm having problems removing an old page link from my blog, it is entitled "Daily Dilemma" I have removed the page and its sub pages to trash but the link still appears in my pages on my blog and when clicked just opens up a dead page. I want to remove this to keep things tidy, can anyone help? I've also recently tried to add new pages and they aren't appearing on the blog but do appear on my pages when I'm logged in and looking at my dashboard etc.

It used to work fine and has only started to do this in recent months.

To fix this I basically created a new username for the person. I could then transfer to this new username even though it used the same email address as before.

My user name is davejperry I have a blog I set up called sweetbeatrice.wordpress.com I want to transfer that blog to a new user who's email address is [email redacted]. (preferred user name would be sweetbeatrice or lucynile)

Before I knew about transferring a blog I simply changed my user name and email address to [email redacted] with user name either lucynile or sweetbeatrice. (can't remember which).

Having relished that this is not the correct way to transfer a blog I attempted to do it right.

I went to my blog and clicked transfer I typed in [email redacted] but it tells me "You cannot transfer to that user"

The same goes for user name sweetbeatrice.

I can however transfer the blog to username lucynile but need to make sure it is the right username. Can you tell me if the username lucynile is connected with the email address [email redacted].

I dont know when it started, but I cant see the comments (mine, and the users).

- I re-downloaded WordPress (Yes the latest version).
- I changed over 7 themes (Yes, WordPress themes and third party themes).

Hi, yeah - now its working again here as well.

Thing is that it goes on and off on a temporary basis and I want to ensure that there is no problem from the DNS side.

Once its down again here, we would need to check from outside as well at the same time..

Thing is that I already got a lot of comments on my FB page which links to this blog page, where (local) people mention they cannot access the site.

I think the 72 hours is over by now. If it continues now, what could we do to narrow down the issue?

alex-klim.com seems to be fine, there's no issue on this end.

We have no known problem with Qatar, however (like with China), we have no control if a country chooses to block us or restrict traffic to us.

Do you have any friends outside of the country who could confirm this for you?

Hi guys, the site is again not reachable, this time now for more than 15min already, what can I do? Maybe the Provider made some mistakes? It is almost 72 hours now... THing is that it is up and down again, seems when it uses a certain IP it is not reachable. Can it be that this IP is blocked in my country? (QATAR)

Do what ever you want - however as noted above it can take up to 72 hours for proper propagation to the far corners of the internet - also because of caching issues you will be the last one to see the changes

It has not been 72 hours since you first domain mapped

PS - WordPress.COM does not use static IP addresses

Hi, so I still got this troubles and it's really annoying..

I found out the following: When I ping alex-klim.com it gives me different IP addresses, why is that? Example: Just pinged and got the following:

2min later it gave me this:

So two different IP addresses, first resolves to wordpress.com - while the second resolves to itdomains.com

Another 2min later, it was unavailable again...

Really think of getting back my USD 99.- and use the free package with my own server, if this troubles continue...

Thanks for your fast response, yes its currently working fine, "Cant find server" outages take normally no longer than 2-3 minutes - but happen many times during the day. Anyway, will watch and wait till the 72hours are over, just registered 2 days ago, maybe thats the cause.

Will let you know if I encounter further issues.

When a domain is registered or altered, there is a process called propagation, where information about the domain name is passed to internet service providers all over the world. This process can take up to 72 hours (though usually much less). During that time, you may also receive a warning message in your browser about "redirect errors". Unfortunately, we have no control over this as it all depends on how often your internet service provider updates their records. Please rest assured that everything is proceeding normally with your domain.

Hi guys, I registered my new blog domain alex-klim.com through WordPress.com and mapped it to my blog.

My issue is, that around 5-6 times a day, when I access my Domain alex-klim.com I get the error message: "Safari can't find the server ... Can't open page "http://alex-klim.com/" because .. can't find the server.."

Is there a known issue or bug with the DNS from wordpress? When I access my blog via alexanderklim.wordpress.com its working fine all the time!

Please your help, this is a serious issue!

I did get the authorisation code emailed to me, and my domain has been unlocked. I just don't know what else could be going wrong, and the only thing I could come up with is the "private registration" part. But under Store > My Upgrades, it says "enable private whois" so I believe I do not have private registration. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Also, can I know how do I check what is my registrar site for my domain?

Make sure that you follow http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/domain-management/#transfer-to-another-registrar exactly.

The domain will not appear in Pending Transfers until the transfer has first been initiated at the receiving registrar, the authorization code has been emailed, and the domain has been unlocked.
