You can, of course use, any theme we have available but only a few will display thumbnails on Categories/Archives pages. No data is lost when changing themes. You can go here Dashboard > Appearance > Themes and select a theme and activate it as many times as you choose to. This is the link to the Themes Showcase http://theme.wordpress.com/ After you change your theme all you need to do is go here Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets > Inactive Widgets re-install them where you want them to appear.

Hello......I am a new Word Press user: http://rustictemple.wordpress.com/
I can't quite figure out 'categories'. For example, in my first post, I assigned and clicked the 'drawing' category. A sidebar for that category does appear. However, when I click the sidebar only the narrative and not the picture in the post shows up. I've tried multiple times creating categories, but the items don't appear in the categories. I tried making the 'uncategorized' the parent category and putting other categories under that but that didn't work either. What am I missing? Thanks! Beth

Hi all, last week I changed themes, and I just now discovered that when I click on my archives or on a category, the ENTIRE post shows up on the page, as opposed to just the post title and a little blurb. I hate this! If this can't be fixed I will have to change themes, but hopefully there is a quick fix, css or otherwise? Thanks in advance!

Thanks folks--the reason I am asking however, is because on our friends blog site has the above configured (I have put in a request to them to ask how they did it but have not heard back yet) Timethief--do you they they have more than one post on their archive page because they have the pilcrow theme that allows it? On their mage page there is only one posting but their archive page has all of their entries listed on the page.
