I assume that clicks from people who have javascript off (or look at the posts in an RSS reader) are not counter?

You are right:

The following are not reflected in your stats:
Visits to uploaded documents and files
Visits from browsers that do not execute javascript or load images
GoogleBot and other search engine spiders
Your own visits to your blog (for logged-in users of public blogs only)

I wonder whether the "clicks" section on the stats pages is accurate?!?

Also - out of curiosity - I was trying to figure out how it works. I was expecting some redirects to wordpress replacing the links for counting, but this does not seem the case. Does this mean that there is some javascript magic involved that phones home at every click? If yes - I assume that clicks from people who have javascript off (or look at the posts in an RSS reader) are not counter?

In any event if this problem is mysterious category is still displaying on your blog you will need staff intervention to remove it. Support hours are Mondays - Fridays 8 AM - 4 PM, Pacific time. There is a "support" link on the dashboard side of your blog on the top right hand corner that you can use to contact staff during those hours.

my site also has a catergory that i never issued by the name of "1". ive deleted both these types of occurences a few times yet they just keep coming back.

It's happened to me too. I follow up everything carefully and this was the only explanation I could come up with as the outgoing links could not be found in my blog contents.

P.S. Is there an email address or a contact form that we volunteers can use to contact you directly on forum matters?

There's a section which shows clicks on my blog when people have clicked on internal links to check out external sites. That's great.

However, one of the links that shows up there is NOT on my blog. I've never seen it before - it links to some blog consultant's page. How did it get into my stats? It's not interfering with my page, is it?
