Thanks, but that I have done already. What I would like to do is instead of logging on to gmail.com I want to configure my e mail log in page to mail.africanqueensproject.com. which requires me to change the CNAME record through wordpress (where I purchased my domain from) which I am not sure how to go about. A step by step guide would be appreciated.

Hi there, when you said this:

I recently transferred an existing domain from yahoo small business to wordpress.

I looked up your domain iamjemimah.com and it appears to be registered through a company called MELBOURNE IT, LTD. D/B/A INTERNET NAMES WORLDWIDE.

Do you perhaps mean that you used to host a website through Yahoo but you've moved the site to WordPress?

If so, you'll still need to obtain email hosting service from a provider, whether Yahoo or another company, since WordPress.com doesn't provide email hosting directly.

You can read more here about how to add email on your custom domain.

Also just a heads up that the DNS records you've currently entered in your DNS area will not work, since as I mentioned, WordPress.com doesn't itself provide email service or MX records.

If you continue to use Yahoo just for email, you'll need to get the MX records from them and enter them instead.

Please let me know if I can be of further help.

I recently transferred an existing domain from yahoo small business to wordpress. The DNS transfer is live but unfortunately, my email address is stuck somewhere in the cloud, so I'm unable to receive mails.

There was a verification code given by yahoo to input in wordpress, this doesn't appear to be working. I've sent Yahoo many mails for support but no response. I guess they are not happy I'm moving my domain :(

Has anyone experienced this before? What is the solution?

would really appreciate any help/suggestions.

so i have connections at blogger for my wordpress, like people who come to my blog but who are on blogger i follow them on blogger so i can find them. But i was wondering if you can perhaps add your wordpress domain as ur blogger publishing blog address (as it gives you the option to put your own custom domainin there in advance settings) ? I read and properly did the CNAME address for the blogger site onto my wordpress domain's DNS, but it won't allow me to put the A address and ip for blogger/google in wordpress (A records are for subdomains only. We reserve the mapped domain's A records.) but doing this is what lets me connect my naked domain to the www domain- which i need because in blogger the publishing blog address can't be a naked domain it has to have www of it. If i don't do this though people will be redirected from my blogger to http://www.wordpress.com and will get the error404 message. I really hope someone knows what I am talking about I know this sounds very confusing.,

It looks like your nameservers are pointing to the wrong place. You will need to log into your domain registrar and update the nameservers for your domain to update your nameservers.

If you are comfortable deleting the IP address, you can do so (I would copy it down first somewhere safe, in case you find you need to add it back in).

Remember that it can take up to 48 hours for the changes to propagate (although it usually takes much less time).

Cheers!

I'm now seeing this text:
Incorrect A Record
The A Record for whiskeyandcigs.com is set to a WordPress.com nameserver. Instead, you should remove all nameservers for your domain and specify the WordPress.com nameservers below to map your domain name to a WordPress.com blog. For instructions and some important warnings before making such a change, please see this document.

There is information on how to set up domain mapping in our support documentation. If you need help after that, please contact our support team.

Do I just need to delete the IP in the @ record?
