			<description><![CDATA[<p>By default, The Columnist has an option you can use to customize the background color outside of the main content areas (to the right). You can test that out using the Customize option. Go to Appearance &#8594; Themes, click on the Customize button, click "Colors &#38; Backgrounds" on the left, and if you have the Custom Design upgrade you can use the top left circle in the color palette to adjust the colors or if you don't have the Custom Design upgrade you will see a Colors option on the left and you can still use that to change the background color.</p>
<p>To override the content area background color (where the posts and all of the content sits), you would need to use some custom CSS. Here is an example you can try adding to your Appearance &#8594; Custom Design &#8594; CSS editor:</p>

<p>Change the "hotpink" color name to a color code of your choice:<br />
