I imported my old site on .org to .com, and it's been pretty smooth apart from a couple things.

My old site is still up on http://www.calligraphers-synonymous.com/

And i moved it all to http://shamaaaaa.wordpress.com/

The two issues are :
1) The header on my new site doesn't match the old site, it's the wrong font. But I can't see where to change it without paying for it, do I have to pay?
I found this : http://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/font-size-color/
but i can't find the HTML editor either :(

2) The picture links on the new site still point to the old site as the host.
For example, from my new site I click on the Crab pic and get http://www.calligraphers-synonymous.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/IMG_2386.jpg
Its the correct picture but still with the old site path. Is there something I need to do in the back end to fix this? I looked in my Media in my new site and they're all there, so I don't think I need to copy all the images over.

I would like to know which account upgrade do I need to be able to install the new theme.
I can see there are several upgrades available and I'm a little bit confused. Do I necesarily have to go Premium to do this? Or is the .com domain purchase enough for what I want to do?

One approach is to register a forum on the internet and then create a custom menu in your blog and include a custom link to the forum in it.

The site linked to your WordPress.COM username is not a free hosted WordPress.COM blog. Please fix that.

WordPress.com SEO is very good and there is no need for any SEO the plugin. If you had two identical sites, one hosted here and one self-hosted using that same plugin, the site hosted here would have better SEO than the self-hosted site. You'll import the file using your browser via Tools -> Import -> WordPress in your blog's Dashboard.

If you're actually seeing the FTP error in in the browser at Tools -> Import -> WordPress, you'll need to contact your hosting provider. If they refuse to help, the folks at http://wordpress.org/support/ may have some ideas.

To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

WordPress.org has complete documentation and support sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at http://codex.wordpress.org/ and http://wordpress.org/support/
