You can't name two blogs with same url nor you can change it to your existing blog. If you delete a blog then neither you nor anyone else can use the url ever. So the best solution for you is to export from one blog and import it to the other. But you can add a domain to the first blog of the url of second one (if available).

You can change the title to anything, any time you like, but I'm not sure about changing the URL to the name of an existing blog. This might (or might not) help:

http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

However, the easiest way to deal with the problem is probably to export the content you want to keep, then import it into the blog with the name you want. Dashboard - tools - export.

You can't redirect followers from one blog to another, but if you put a post in the blog you don't want to use anymore, with a link to the new blog, then eventually all your regular readers will find it.

I have an existing blog and then started a second one. I want to re-name the first blog with the name of the second blog and delete the second blog altogether. Can someone tell me how to go about doing that? It seems from the help menu that I can't delete and make the second blog name available to reuse. Also if I exported the first blog's data to the second one then how do I redirect my followers?

As they are both wordpress.COM blogs the instructions you need for exporting content out of one blog and importing it into the other blog are found here. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#moving-between-wordpress-com-blogs

Do note that if the content has been indexed by search engines the result will be that when visitors use search engines and click the URL (links) to entries in the blog your are exporting content out of they will experience a "404" (broken link - page not found). Once the content is imported all those URLs (links) will change to reflect the new URL for the blog into which you imported content.

Hello there,
The blog linked to your username is not a wordpress.com blog and you have not provided URLs for the blogs in question so we cannot provide specific and accurate answers to your questions.

All those who have blogs hosted by any web host other than wordpress.COM must post to this support forum http://wordpress.ORG/support/

If the other blog you are referring to is a wordpress.COM free hosted blog then you can export the content out of it and import it into your wordpress.ORG install.

Two days ago I got a brilliant idea for another blog, so I did what I thought I needed to do: I created a new account with a new username, and then created the blog. But today I noticed that I could have created a second blog under my first username (clickerbug.wordpress.com), which would have made both blogs much easier to manage I think.

Is there any way to retroactively go back and put both blogs under the same account?

And if so, would there be a way to continue sending comment email to the special email address I set up for this account? (I anticipate much more commenting on this blog than on my other one.)
