Going to medium will make a big difference in file size, but almost no difference in image quality - at least that you can see on a computer monitor.

As far as the comment link position, no there is no way to move it back to the top. That would require modifications to the underlying theme PHP script files, and we do not have access to those since this is a multi-user blogging platform and we all share the same underlying files. Any change by one person would change it for everyone.

I have a couple suggestions regarding your blog.

First, you need to optimize your images better before uploading them. The are way too large (file size) and it is taking forever to load your main blog page. I see many images in there that are over 400k in file size. In general, my suggestion is that you keep the file size down to under 75k each. You can do this by opening the image in an image editing program on your computer, then saving the image as a lower quality jpg. You have to have a "high" quality and "medium" quality jpg side-by-side to see the difference and in many cases it is almost impossible to see the difference on a computer monitor.

Secondly, you need to reduce the number of posts that show on the blog pages by going to settings > reading and changing the number to something lower like say 3 or 5.

Those on slower internet connections - and there are still a good number of them out there - will certainly appreciate it.
