Hi there,

The WordPress.com mobile theme currently does not display authors. We can consider it as a feature for a future version, but I can't make any promises.

In the meantime, the theme you're using, Oxygen, is already responsive and adapts well to mobile devices. You can turn off the mobile theme in Appearance > Mobile, and use Oxygen's mobile view.

Morning,

When visitors are viewing our blog on their smartphones, the authors are removed from the individual posts (we have a blog authored by multiple users).

Is there a way so we could turn contributor names ON for the posts when being viewed mobile?

That's exactly what I thought.

Contributor
A contributor can edit their posts but cannot publish them. When a contributor creates a post, it will need to be submitted to an administrator for review. Once a contributor’s post is approved by an administrator and published, however, it may no longer be edited by the contributor.

A contributor does not have the ability to upload files/images. http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/

not that I know of. Everyone else in the class has not had these problems. He didn't say anything about that.

What exactly is your "user role"? Perhaps your teacher has to approve your posts before they appear on the site.

Dont know what I am doing wrong but I go to my teachers page and click "New Post" and then I go through all the motions of making the post and clicking "Publish" and then when I go back to his page I cannot see my posts. I've done this over and over and am very frustrated now and don't have any idea what I'm doing wrong. Please help! Do I need to tag the page?

I was hacked and now I'm not site admin anymore on wwofclubpenguin.wordpress.com, I am now a contributor and I have no idea who is admin. There were no other people added to site when I got my account back. But a day after I got the account back, i was contributor

We were able to reproduce the problem and it has now been fixed. You should no longer have such issues. Thanks for the detailed report, but please indeed contact us via our security page, should you ever find another such issue, as it's by far the fastest way for us to be made aware and deploy a fix.

2) yes, some
3) I don't believe they DO see the stats, but it's possible they do.
4) not as far as I know.
5) they can click on several things but not the Settings and they cant' change anything.
6) Yes, they can see the addresses of the other commenters
7) Yes, they can see the comments page.
8) no, there is no button to push. It's just stored as a Draft till you approve it.

Are you able to tell me what a contributor or an author can see verses an admin please. This isn't spelled out in the User roles. http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/

Do they have access to comments in the dashboard or email addresses like admins have? Can they see or use any of the left-hand sidebar items? Or do they just see the site stats and the box where they can post an article? Is there a photo of what they will be able to see?

As an admin, I can see everything, but I want to know what type of access these other users have to our information. I assume they won't be able to change their status by clicking on user, but can they click on anything else? Can they see addresses of other commenters? Will they see comments?

When they have written a post, does it have a button to push that asks an admin to check the work? Or how does that work?
