			<description><![CDATA[<p>Thanks for the info, it confirmed what I was finding. Though I did find a work-around. The theme we're using, Garland, allows listing the contributors as a widget, and that listing does accept avatars, so that'll work for us!

<p>If your Gravatar is not displaying on a blog then it can be because the blog is not equipped to display them, or because the blogger chooses not to display them.

But is there a way for contributors of original posts to have an image appear with their post, without having to embed one in the post itself?
