Does it make a difference if the tags are enter one at a time or copy and pasted as a group?

After I have written a post I go back and get whatever tags I have associated with the post and I copy them into Word. Once I have all the tags, perhaps 10-30 I copy and paste as a group into Titan’s Quick Edit. Does it affect the search engines in anyway by doing it this way.

It’s a question that has been driving me crazy….

The legal position is that you must get permission in writing from the copyright owner before you can use images. Then you can download them from their site, upload them into your site, and put them in your post, usually with credit. Credit can be given either by text, eg "photo by Goron" with a link to the source website OR you can link the image to the source website.

The practice, which is widespread but not technically legal, is to download the image, upload it to your website, use it in your post with proper credit as above, but without getting permission first. Never, ever forget the link to the source site.

According to page wordpress does support the tag, but it is somehow incorrectly parsing it upon save. So I would categorize it as a bug.

However upon publishing, WordPress is messing a html definition for a Base 64 Encoded PNG.

Here is what the correct html for Base64 Encoded PNG should like:

Note: data is missing in wordpress parsed html. I even tried to add it using HTML editor, but wordpress still strips it out. See http://doctrina.wordpress.com/2010/10/16/image-copy-and-paste-from-clipboard-in-firefox/ for an example.

Is this something that can be fixed? This will provide much needed copy-and-paste directly from windows clipboard to WordPress. No more saving a screenshot to desktop and then attach it to wordpress.

i've seen that alot and if that is the case then I guess a large % of wp.com users and other places are doing illegal things too (unknowingly).

feel free to post a link to the wp.com rules on that or even better a mention of a law website or any other reliable & verifiable source. That just does'nt make sense to me unless its a online urban legend or something. I've been online for a few years now and seen tons of dozens of articles, sites, webspages, but thats the first time i've heard of that...which is VERY odd

Do not ever, EVER copy and select ALL and then paste it into your post. That is illegal.

You are allowed to take a snippet of somebody's post and link to it, you are not allowed to take the whole thing.

However, by not using the correct pop-up box for copy and pasted text found in Row 2 icon 5 or 6 (5 Paste as Plain Text or
6 Paste from Word) what you will also get is extraneous code. That will then be problematic so you will have to switch to the HTML editor and remove it.

Click on that, paste the stuff from word into the window that appears, and then click the "insert" button and it will strip out all the non-HTML code that Word tries to put in.

Pasting directly from Word will, it not right away, get you in the end and your blog will break on you. Then it becomes quite a job to find out just what broke things so that you can fix it. Basically, Word does not speak web (HTML).
