And thanks for the idea about CSS editing - though I'm a coding numpty, & that is way beyond my capabilities.

CSS editing is theme dependent. In some themes, dates, categories and/or tags etec. cannot be hidden independently, as they are in the same selector as the other meta data elements such as author and perhaps even the “leave a comment” link, which means if you hide one, then you hide them all.

Yeah, I've been moving posts around freely for a while now.

So there's no easy way, short of changing themes, to take off the date? Ah well. It was worth asking.

Is there a way to post, without it showing the date of posting? I ask because I often want to put my posts in a particular order other than by date of writing, which isn't important to me.

If you know CSS, there is an upgrade you can purchase to allow more flexibility.

I'm trying to add copyright info and a privacy policy link to the quintus theme footer.

Ideally, I would like it to either follow or come before the following:
Blog at WordPress.com. | Theme: Quintus by Automattic.

If it could be separated by the same vertical line, that would be lovely.

I tried with the text widget but it only goes to the sidebar.

If what you're looking for is a sidebar on static pages but no sidebar on the main posts page, you can't do it with Coraline. If you don't want to switch to a different theme, what you can do is select the No Sidebar layout in Appearance > Theme Options (applies to the whole blog) and move your widgets to the footer areas.

It works fine on other page that I mark the same but not on the Posts page.

You cannot remove the sidebar from the dynamic page for your posts, without purchasing an annually renewable custom design upgrade and doing the required CSS editing.

Yes is the answer to your question. These are 3 ways to change fonts on wordpress.com blogs.
(1) Changing font families, colors and size in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page by coding into the HTML (Text) editor. http://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/font-size-color/

Note: A few themes do provide for changing font color in the Blog Title and/or optional Tagline and/or links. I would like to know how it is possible to remedy the fact that all the posts that appear in my home show tags. I would like that people cannot see any tag in the pages even if they are (for "google purposes").
