Those kinds of coding are complex and can't be used here; they will be stripped out for security reasons. They are only available on WordPress.ORG installs, where you would also have to pay for a domain name, but you'd also have to pay for hosting as well.

The fact that you have domain and I have domains for my blogs is not relevant. All having a domain changes is the URL and nothing else http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#important-notes-before-upgrading

Hi thank you,
But my blog inst free. I registered a domain at WordPress. I need a few slight alterations to my form to send e-card and all. eg. want to send card to recipient when submit button clicked. And I also want to add cancel button. But there is no such option available in contact form.

I want to create a page to send e-cards. But I cannot create custom form in word press, to add recipients email address.and also there isn't option to add 'Cancel' button to form. How can I do it ..please help me.

Hi there. I'm using a custom form on a post that I'm drafting. It works perfectly, I just think it would look better if I could center align it instead of the default left align. Is there any way to do this? I looked through the shortcode reference but saw nothing regarding alignment. It seems like such a simple tweak, I hope a Custom CSS upgrade isn't necessary.

If you're asking about siskeystaff.wordpress.com, then any instructions you're reading for wordpress.org do not apply.

You can't find what you're looking for on the dashboard because it isn't there. Plug-Ins are not permitted here.

Hey guys -
A few problems.
1. When I'm logged in and go to the dashboard I do not see the "PLUG IN" option on the left. I do not have a premium account, just the free one... does that matter?
2. The plug in I have found to use is this (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/custom-contact-forms/) to insert a CUSTOM FORM. I am aware of the one offered on the page where you can do a new post but I need some more (specifically the ability to export the data).
3. I have no clue what format of WP I'm using. I'm seeing I have to use 3.0+ but don't see anything telling me what I'm using. Everything I Googled didn't help (view source, bottom of the page, etc)
Any help? THANKS!

However, the traditionnal solution $latex 2^4$ doesn't work.
The real code is :

while adding the new post, i typed something in the COMMENT box as well as in the NEW FIELD and selected field type as "text area". But in the published post the texts inside the box did not appear.

I think we've fixed this bug in our Contact Form generator in IE 9. Thanks for letting us know about this problem. Let us know if you're still experiencing issues.

OK, I downloaded FireFox then went to my Contact page and uploaded a form. Eureeka! It worked!

However, I am still not able to get a form to show up on my own, for instance on the Contact page.

After you paste in the form and click Preview, do you see the form in the preview window?

What exactly happens when you click the blue Update button? Does the form code disappear from the editor? The page on the public side?

I wonder if you'd mind taking a few screenshots (JPEG, PNG or PDF format, if possible) of what you see at some of the steps above where things aren't working as they should, to help in troubleshooting.

Once you've taken them, you can upload them to your Media Library and post links here so I can take a look.

I don't have Firefox on my laptop. Only Internet Explorer. If you can tell me how to get Firefox I would be happy to try it.

Hi there - thanks for the info. I think I see what the problem is: your site seemed to be missing the Visual Editor. There are two modes for the editing window - Visual Editor and HTML. The contact-form code gets added in the Visual Editor mode. Since you didn't have a Visual Editor, that may be why your form wasn't working.

I cleared your blog's cache, which looks to have made the Visual Editor reappear, and added the above contact-form code to your Bookings page - are you able to see it here?

The built in feature is what I'm trying to use (that code is below), per the simple instructions outlined in your link above.

Again, the code populates but then disappears, thus the form is not uploading on the page.

Hi there - would you be able to paste the form code you're trying to put into the post in a Pastebin so I can take a look?

For security reasons, WordPress does strip out certain types of code, such as iframes and JavaScript, so depending what your code consists of, this might explain why it's being stripped out.

A good way to add a contact form to your site is by using the built-in feature, described here:

macmanx: My site is private at the moment. Regardless, I've tried uploading a simple form on various pages on my site -- and the code simply keeps disappearing no matter what. Thus no custom form uploads.

I wonder, is there an issue with my settings or with WordPress? This feature has not worked since I created this site over a month ago. I keep trying with the same result. Everything else is--and has been--working fine.

Hello:

This is my third time asking for assist on this topic without a single response, so I'm hoping this time will be the charm.

I can not seem to get a Custom Form to show up on my site. The code populates the page then disappears once I click "Update" to actually save it on the page.

Any assist or feedback would be helpful.
