Yep, the bar chart shows translated month names now. Thanks again. :)

I've taken another close look at the stats screen and I found some more things. The untranslated (hardcoded?) strings in the geoviews section for starters. ;)

Zé already mentioned the untranslated country names in another topic, but the table heads (Country;Views) in Geoviews still read english despite being already translated in GlotPress.

http://translate.wordpress.com/projects/wpcom/de/default?filters%5Bstatus%5D=either&filters%5Boriginal_id%5D=4017&filters%5Btranslation_id%5D=27661

http://translate.wordpress.com/projects/wpcom/de/default?filters%5Bstatus%5D=either&filters%5Boriginal_id%5D=774&filters%5Btranslation_id%5D=27158

Second thing is, if you change the bar chart to display weeks and months. In 'weeks' views the key/legend reads english despite being translated already:

http://translate.wordpress.com/projects/wpcom/de/default?filters%5Bstatus%5D=either&filters%5Boriginal_id%5D=27131&filters%5Btranslation_id%5D=1368141

Can't tell if 'month' view needs to be checked as well, because all the month names displayed there at the moment share the same abbreviation between english and german.

And a last one. If you click on one of the sections of the stats e.g. the referrers at http://de.wordpress.com/#!/my-stats/?view=referrers&date=2013-05-23, the date in the 'h3' tag of the 'referres' div (I'm not talking about the 'h2' date in the header) isn't formatted according to Settings → General but with dashes as separator and starting with the year.

Referrer für 2013-05-23

I guess it's the same in all sections like clicks, search terms, top posts & pages, ...

The wordpress reader is becoming real clumsy and messy when it comes to deal with some of the most used tags/topics like 'health' for example.

Since no. of posts in such busy sections are too high it takes a long time to reach for posts posted 6 hours back and probably a knee breaking patience needed to see posts posted 24 or 48 hours back since we have to scroll alike the height of Everest!

Also in my observation some people post too many times same/similar things to draw attraction may be and understand nothing can be done for those.

So to make the reading easy for regular genuine readers I like to suggest a new feature below-

Please add some date or time like feature to the READER page by so that if we set 6 hours automatically we can go back and see posts published then or if we choose a date of last week we can directly go to that page and see which posts which were published then. Suppose a sincere reader following the topic 'health' and he/she last checked posts upto yesterday morning and when the person starts going through health posts today morning it becomes cumbersome to see posts from where he/she left reading since thousands of posts must have been posted in the last 24 hours, so a time locator might help.

Hope this idea will help you in your work.
Thanks.

(i-phone 4) It's ok, I don't mind it that much actually. & disabling the mobile theme brings me to the black background I prefer anyhow & also removes the stamp. That works for me.

I was able to hide the post date on the mobile theme using the same code provided by @kobenland below:

.mobile-theme .entry-date { display: none; }

Just make sure that when you customize your CSS that you select the "Include this CSS in the Mobile Theme" option. You might experience a delay in seeing it properly on the mobile device, so I would wait a few minutes before checking it.

Hi,

I need to highlight dates of upcoming events and show them on the main/home page (and also not in the right column). The next upcoming event should show above upcoming events further in the future (that is, in order).

Instead, as most free themes seem to be meant for blogs, I see that the dates that are (sometimes boldly) highlighted are the dates of when new posts were created.

Perhaps there are multiple ways of doing that... Or at least to be able to decide which post to put where (that is, in which order). Perhaps there is a theme meant for small non-profits that features upcoming events...

I would very much appreciate any help. Thank you for reading so far.

Hi Jaqueline,

Unless disabled, we use a mobile theme for requests from mobile devices by default. Since this is essentially a different theme, chances are that you CSS customizations don't work for it.

As a solution you can select the "Apply to mobile theme" option in the custom css editor, and then specify CSS rules for it. To make sure that your additions do not have repercussions on your regular theme, make sure to prefix all selectors with the
.mobile-theme
body class.

Best,
Konstantin

Hello. I upgraded my CSS in order to remove the date / time stamp on the Nishita Theme & used .entry-tags, .photo-meta ul li.first, .date .archive-wrapper, h4.post-meta {display: none;} which did work + I removed the meta widget. However, the date/time stamp still appears when viewing on a mobile device. Is there an additional code needed to remove it from mobile version?
