I have tried being polite with this particular blogger but it does not work, the people take content without asking permission are an absolute pest to the internet community in general.

The annoying thing is that many of these people end up with a better ranking than the person who genuinly owns original content.

I have tried to find the wp.ORG.blog so as to make contact with them but had not luck as i cannot find it, in the meantime part of my website content still appears on the blog in question.

I have emailed the blogger involved yet again but have have no response. A complete waste of time as they are oblivious to anyone elses feelings.

Is it possibly for me to highlight the text section on my website which they have copied and link back to them so as to show that the text is being used elsewhere, would this be breaking any rules.

I just want this blogger off my back as it is affecting my ranking now when I search for that particular page.

It makes one wonder whether it is worth having a website when there are so many people around who are just to idle to compose their own content. My website has been up and running for five years and is non profit making.

This particular blogger does not even the credit the work to me which stinks to say the least.

Could anyone out there offer any furthe help, many thanks.

"powered by WordPress" means it is a self-hosted wp.ORG blog, not the same as the site here: WordPress.COM. You need to contact the web host of the site that is stealing your material.

I have a website which is registered with a copyright agency.

A recent search for duplicate content has shown that some of my website text is being used on a blog, permission was not sought or granted and the person using the text does not even credit the work to me. This is a case of just using a few words of text, it is a large piece of text which I personally wrote.

I read somwhere that once someone puts information on a blog that they have copyright, how can this be so if the copyright was not theirs in the first place and registered to another person?

I have tried to contact he person involved, they are aware that I know that I have seen my website content on their blog but have not responded to my communication.

I am at a loss as to what to do adn would welcome any advice, thank you.
