You go to Pages > All Pages, click Quick Edit under the page title, uncheck the option "Allow comments", click Update.

Discussion settings is where you set up defaults for comments.

We can also override the default settings and enable or disable future comments on any individual post or page.

Note: By default, new blogs on WordPress.com will have the Discussion hidden. I'd like to disable the comment option from a page that I am creating. I do not want to disable that option from all the posts but only from that particular page.
From the same page, I'd like to remove the white line just above the first comment.

Oops, sorry, I missed that one. Add this and then edit the text between the double quote marks in the "content" declaration.

the code worked with me, It's fine now.
However, one issue is still reaming which is about the copyrights.

You can start with this and see what you think and edit the background color as you desire - or any of the other values. The border radius has to be declared three times to take care of older browsers.

Questions 2 & 3 are CSS editing questions. You cannot undertake those without purchasing an annually renewable custom design upgrade and doing the required CSS editing.

Dear Gentlemen

I have several issues with my blog:

1. I would like to set buttons for the menu titles "current menu title are without any frame or box!!" .. also I would like to change the size of the menu text "only the menu text" !?

2. I would like to add my own copyrights "I saw another topic in this forum about adding the copyright, but the codes thier doesn't work with me" !?

3. I want to hide the comments box from 2 or 3 pages only , HOW can I do that?

a) To disable commenting for future posts or pages, you go to Settings > Discussion, uncheck the options "Allow link notifications" and "Allow people to post comments", scroll down and click Save Changes.
b) To disable commenting for your already published posts, you go to Posts > All Posts, tick the little square to select all the posts, select "Edit" from the Bulk Actions pulldown, click Apply, select "Do not allow" from the Comments and Pings pulldowns, click Update.
c) To disable commenting for your already published pages, you go to Pages > All Pages, tick the little square to select all the pages, select "Edit" from the Bulk Actions pulldown, click Apply, select "Do not allow" from the Comments pulldown, click Update. If the pages aren't all listed on the same screen, click the top right arrow to repeat for the next screen.

So, I am having the same issue/want the same thing (to entirely disable comments across this whole blog/site), but when I go to "Screen Options" and click to show discussion/comments boxes...

i don't get a box that says "allow comments" - only "add comment", so that i can comment on a post or page.

any other suggestions? css? anything?

timfreed2, i found the way to disable the function.

Go to the edit page of the page you want to disable the function. Click screen option on the right top screen. Check the box of discussion. Then the option of Allow comments will appear at the bottom of the edit page. Then uncheck the box. The comment box will disappear on that page.

I am encountering the same problem.

According to wordpress's instruction on http://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/, by unchecking the box of Allow Comments, the function will be enabled. However, this option (Allow Comments) doesn't exist in the Setting- Discussion of my wordpress.

I would like to disable the function of leave a reply function at the end of each page. How can I do that? ANy help would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

I don't want any reply box or comments on my blog. I followed the directions in the discussion section of the blog. I unchecked all the boxes but I still have comments and reply boxes on my pages and posts. I want to disable all comments and reply boxes.

Ok - I've made a separate page called "Home" and moved the content over from the original welcome post. Now when I go onto the front page it says "Sorry, but you are looking for something that is not there." Is there a way to get the home page to show up as a home page? My guess is that if I send people to this they'll see that message and give up, though some will probably click on home.

Am I making this harder than it should be? I really do not like computer stuff.

All comment options are gone on the subsequent pages, but still showing up on Home.

Let's try and keep this simple. There is only one page you can post to in any blog and by default it's the front page of the blog.

I've just noticed: your blog's front page is displaying your latest posts, in your case, a post called "Welcome to McReynolds Designs" (that's why the comment form appears).
If you want your blog's frontpage to be a static page, on your dashboard menu go to the Settings section -> Reading -> "Front page displays" -> click "Static Page" and choose on of your pages (you should probably create first a page called "Home" with the content from your Welcome post and choose it).
