I am running a blog where I am going to be uploading about 5-6 minutes of audio every day. As a result, SoundCloud's free account will be useless to me after a couple months. So even though I am able to embed their audio player just fine, I'll run out of space very quickly.

I've found both Podsnack.com and YourListen.com to host my audio with an audio player that can be embedded into the blog. However, when I go into the HTML tab and paste the embed code, it disappears when I click "save changes".

I've read some other posts from the past and found that you need to be an Admin to post audio/video, and I am definitely listed as an Admin.

I'm also open to using the WordPress audio players, but I can't find a website that will produce URLs that end in .MP3

Any suggestions?

I'm working with the theme Bold Life, and I've made a custom header image that uploads fine, and works fine for about a week before mysteriously disappearing. The image is saved in my "header" options under appearance, but I have to re-select it every week or so in order for it to continue appearing. Weird?! Not sure how to fix this, or what would cause it. I've tried different browsers, Mac v. PC, and different image formats - it doesn't seem to correlate to any of these possibilities - just randomly disappears from the site every week or so. Help, please!

Then you will be creating full posts and not asides. The full posts will have titles, can have categories assigned to them, the images will stop disappearing and the autosave feature will operate so your won't lose drafts.

I'm asking because the way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers. Also note that the main dashboard isn’t designed to work with touch devices through the tablet and smartphone browsers.

I tried today to post. I managed so far to get two post out. The first one when super fast as normal. I thought great, everything is fine. The second post, was pitiful. I had notices come up WordPress had quit working, problem with the site and on and on.

Could someone look into this and see if I can correct this problem or perhaps someone else could? I appreciate your help.

In any event, I have continued to tweak the CSS in Vigilance and have retrieved the sidebars and reverted the text colors. So my problem is resolved and I updated the status of this post accordingly. Thanks for offering to help, though!

I apologize for the confusion. When I posted this question, the system auto-linked to the wrong blog and I didn't notice. The correct blog is hardrockinhomemaker.com (or hardrockhomemaker.com, which redirects to the first). I don't use or want the hardrockinhomemaker.wordpress.com blog referenced above -- I'll fix that so it automatically redirects to hardrockinhomemaker.com. Thanks for that catch.

Go to settings > writing and select "WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically" and then click "save changes."

Now, starting with your latest post, open it in the editor, make one minor change such as adding and then deleting a space, and then click "update post." Check your blog and if it is back to normal, you are golden. If not, open the next post and do the same thing till it goes back to normal.

I know that WordPress has been experiencing bugs since last night, but I'm not sure this is related. Incidentally, the color of my titles all changed as well.

Nearly forgot about this thread. I wasn't aware you're also removing strings in order to reuse them instead of adding new ones. I really like that idea. :D

There's also been some recent work to consolidate the strings a bit (make sure that an existing string/translation is reused, rather than re-added to increase the total number of translatable strings).

So the most likely explanation is that some older strings were removed (with their corresponding translations), that's why the total translated strings count is down. I filtered the project for recently rejected strings and that is not the cause of what you are observing.
