Hi everyone,
I looked through but couldn't find a similar topic. So my blog is around 50-100 views per day (not very big) and I use the android app then view the posts on the browser after upload. I scrolled to the bottom of the page today and saw that I have 355 email subscribers. I had no idea! I thought I had about 2.
I'm curious to see if this is an accurate number so would like to see the list or simply a page on my dashboard (on a PC) that confirms this. I don't want email addresses or anything.

Is this possible?

Cheers
Matt

None of the posts from blog.jonbeckett.com are showing up in the tag pages at wordpress.com... I'm just wondering if it's because it's indexing, or something like that - or if it's just got too many posts in it (I've had the blog for 9 years now).

I moved back to wordpress.com specifically so it would appear in the tagged pages, but it looks like it was a waste of time.

To check it out, I created another blog called "writingforengland.wordpress.com" and posted a test post with a tag "foo" and it instantly showed up.

Strange.

@cobpez
Every day we volunteers witness those posting to this forum who have not read the sticky post at the head of the forum, and who do not know the differences between wordpress.com and wordpress.org.

As I am a blogging tips blogger, I also witness even more who demonstrate their confusion in blog comments, in contact form messages sent to me, and in questions posed to me by email. I do the best job I can do if spreading the word, so to speak, by making them aware of this support documentation entry
http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ as well as the sticky post at the head of the forum http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/please-read-me-first-before-posting?replies=1

In addition to the confused we have those impatient wordpress.org bloggers, who have not received instant answers to questions they have posted to the wordpress.org support forums, and who appear here seeking help. A few state they have self hosted wordpress.org blogs up front. More often we witness those who dodge answering the question: "What is the URL for the you are referring to?' because their aim is to seek either technical or CSS help "undercover".

On this forum I believe we are experiencing an influx of confused bloggers from both wordpress.com and from wordpress.org, who need to be made aware of the differences between the two. That is why I posted what I did above.

When presenting "ideas" it's always useful to post the link to the feature you want or one similar to it. Have you located where to get it on the internet by searching and locating the link to the site that offers such widgets yet?

By tracking down the site offering the widget you can compare that widget to the restrictions of wordpress.com blogs (see support documentation entry http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/) and if it doesn't meet security guidleines you can choose not to post about it.

Being a published author of local history, {John Muir: West Coast Pioneer - published 2005 by Ronsdale Press}; I hope to present this forum in a manner which you will find interesting, not only to read, but to interact with.

My object is to take you back to the beginning of recorded time in the Pacific Northwest; before the arrival of the Europeans, when the native community thrived by their own wits and resources. I will introduce you to some of he "First Invaders" as described by Alan Twigg within his book of the same title, and walk you though the settlement of this land, up to a point in the mid 1800's where its destiny was well defined.

You will discover fascinating events which prior to this time have been locked away in the many journals drafted by the pens of early sailors, adventurers, pioneers and common people alike. You will follow their trials, tribulations and successes with a first hand view, such that you will be able to envision yourself there with them each step of the way.

I encourage you to interact with me as this blog grows. Share with us your personal readings, stories of your own family members, if they are from here during the era under discussion. I ask only that you keep your subject to the area under discussion and if per chance you have a story to offer from a later time in the growth of this region, please savour it and wait patiently until we have navigated our way to that point in time.

To take full advantage of this story, start at the very beginning, which means scrolling down to the bottom of the blog, for that is where it all begins.

Thank you in advance for your participation.

This will prove an exciting journey for us all.

It's incredibly frustrating (no flexibility with headers/templates). Yes, I know I should have realized it before I started with wordpress. But, I'm a novice blogger and now that I've established the blog I'm kind of stuck. I love the look and ease of use, but the restrictions on header imagery and, frankly, ad usage (when other free blogs have them) has me on the verge of switching, which is something i really don't want to do. Does anyone have an answer as to when these two issues will be upgraded?

Yes this issue of not being able to access template files is really limiting. I know it has been addressed elsewhere, but I just hope it will be one of the first major updates to WP.com
